As part of Buena Vista Pictures' updated 2007 Preview, the studio has confirmed the previous report that the National Treasure sequel will be titled National Treasure: The Book of Secrets.

The subtitle refers to the 18 pages which are actually missing from John Wilkes Booth's library. The sequel also is said to involve Abraham Lincoln.

Jon Turteltaub directs and Jerry Bruckheimer executive produces again. "The Book of Secrets" is expected to star Nicolas Cage, Justin Bartha, Diane Kruger, Jon Voight and Harvey Keitel. It is targeted for a December 21, 2007 release.

Great, more mindless action crap! We don't have enough of it coming out of Hollywood!

I would like to see DaVinci Code sequel and this released on the same day. :o

Is it just me, or does a release date of December sound too early? Have they already started filming?

Sweet, I am there, the first one was damn fun.

Well...Casino Royale began production in late January and it was out by November.

what a joke....thats a terrible subtitle for the second movie. I liked the first movie a lot more than I thought I would and am looking forward to the next adventure...but this just makes it sound childish.
