Far too many men/boys withdraw from the real world (become terminally online, shut-ins, NEETs, and incels) and make video games and pornography their identity and as a result this toxicity is what spills out of many of them. (see also:

I've never identified as a 'gamer' even though I've played video games longer than most have been alive since the early 1980s. Making your hobby your whole personality or some exclusive club/in-group that exists only in your head is just mentally unhealthy.
