Mannerism is nailed! Wig tho, I hope for ponny tail like in games. It will look better.

Looks like they went with simple yellow contact lenses for the eyes.

If I'm going to nitpick, that's really the only thing that bothers me. No lore-friendly eyes.

Oh god... that’s HILARIOUSLY AWFUL :lmao: :lmao:

Doesn’t look like Geralt at all. Where’s the scar? Where’s the gruff?

He looks like Fabio had sex with Legolas.

oh I'm sure they will add it as the series goes on . But I'm sure he'll still look pretty, other wise the female fanbase & more won't be happy. They can't make him look like Jona Hex after all.

Between that Party City wig and casting this actress as Triss:

Anna Shaffer

I just...I cant anymore with this show. It's too many bizarre decisions one after another. The showrunner must have studied at the David Lynch school of adaptions.

To paraphrase Deadpool:

It's grey hair. How hard can it be to make it look natural? It's not like we're trying to CGI off a mustache here.

Is that really Triss?

i personally see no problem with triss actress, just give her auburn hair and its fine by me.
maybe cuz i never expected them to have an entire cast that looks polish/eastern european, its hollywood after all.

if the writing is great, and acting is decent, i can look past almost anything else. it's like with anna diop in titans, i ended up liking her a lot.

not that i would mind if she were dark skinned, but this doesnt really differ that much from the image in my minds eye.

Geralt in the books likes being clean shaven and hates beards.

Anna Shafer as Triss...yeah...don't get it. Sort of was not surprised by some of these casting decisions after Lauren Hissrich became showrunner. At least it didn't affect Geralt and Ciri.

Even putting aside hilariously bad costuming and make-up, Cavill wears the same damn expression he wears in every single film he's in regardless of character. I guess we just shouldn't expect more than that from him...

I almost wish this was just animated like Castlevania but they'd probably also color the characters a different race. I'm livid. I hope CDPR announce a Witcher 1 and 2 remaster/remake to wash away this bad taste.

Yeah I'm out. Hope this fails so people can learn their lesson to stop race changing for the hell of it.

They made them white in the beginning for the heck of it. What's the problem with adding diversity to a caste that has none? Does it not make sense that there would be several characters with different complexions and different origins?

Yeah, but let’s face it... not many people care about the books. It’s the games that are popular.

The show is based on the books, not the games. They don't have the rights to adapt CDPR's games.
