Fantasy Netflix's The Witcher - General Discussion Thread

The most recentest pics of Anya Chalotra from ABC Murder premiere. Looks like she died hair into black 1:

I just started buying the books and saw that Amazon has a box set that has the first three books but it doesn't say if the book are the smaller mass market paperbacks or the lager paperbacks. Does anybody if the box set is the mass market paperbacks or the lager paperbacks? Thanks for any help.

Ffs, he is way way too buff. Geralt isnt supposed to be huge like the Rock.:wall: Even the little things about this adaption irritates me.

I don't think Cavill is bigger than Witcher 3 Geralt. Maybe game Geralt has slimmer waist, but his hands and shoulders are rather large.

I'm more concerned that Yennefer is too thin.

If there‘s a release für fall 2019 is planned, then I wouldn‘t expect footage to show up earlier then ComicCon. Netflix usually drops Trailer footage pretty late (2 months before Release)

It's official. I was on a date with Anya Chalotra in a dream last night.

I'm going crazy without news. Also, don't tell my missus.

Man, I was never a big fan of Henry Cavill as Supes, but it's hard to look at his Instagram and not love the guy. Dude's taking care of his dog and just having fun. I hope this show is awesome and a big hit for him. I think he might be better suited for Geralt than Supes. But we shall see.

He will probably remain Supes in public consciousness just factually, but I really hope material and directing will elevate his Witcher performance. So he becomes the definitive live action Geralt. And it's earned by quality, not because he played the role.

I'm also a bit tired of Cavill advertising various **** and pretending it's somehow Witcher-related.

But he's got a cute dog who he takes everywhere with him.

I just hope his base gambeson or costume is better than the **** he wore for the costume test :)

Yeah, I don't get what the actual **** they dressed him into. Geralt should wear simple clothes. Shirt, simple leather doublet, gloves maybe. He's a pleb and the fanciest thing among his bearings is probably the silver sword or a stash of potions. Maybe some kind of a chain mail, that he wears from time to time on a job.

Everyone was crowing about his wig and such, but it was really his shirt that put me off, lol.
