Doctor Strange, the fourth direct-to-video animated movie from Lionsgate and Marvel Studios, will be previewed in Ultimate Avengers 2, in stores on August 8.
The two-minute, 42-second preview includes designs and animation clips, along with comments from writer Greg Johnson, producer/supervising director Frank Paur and executive producers Eric S. Rollman and Craig Kyle.
Like its predecessor Iron Man, Doctor Strange will be an origin story. "It's about the journey," Johnson said. "He had to actually go from the pit of despair up a mountain to the feet of the Ancient One in order to really find out what his destiny was. It's that journey that changes the man."

Took the words right out of my mouth. That looks amazing. Epic even. This is going to be so cool.

I'm liking the art style alot more in this one compared to Avengers.

Nice maybe lionsgate can make this good hopefully it will be nothing like ultimate avengers. Dang I want to see a live action movie.

This one will bet better than all of them! I cant wait.

Anyone have any pics of the iron man one I want to see if its as good as this one.

All of these cartoon films are great, but I'm FAR more interested in live-action Marvel films...

Yeah it does look pretty but lets just hope lionsgate make the animation flow and not be choppy like there last 2 movies.

Looks great. This is the one im REALLY waiting for. Hope it delivers on all levels!

I probably won't buy it, but I will definitely give it a rent. I was never a Dr. Strange fan, but the animation looks decent.

looks like it's based on the last JMS mini of Strange, which I liked :o

Picked up the Avengers DVD today (haven't watched the movie, but looked at the extras)....and the Dr. Strange preview does look pretty good.

Yep...I'm not geeked much about Iron Man, but since that's Marvel's first feature, they want the exposure, but Doc Strange looked like an instant classic.

With each film they're learning. UA was a neophyte effort. UA2 a sophomore attempt. Iron Man looks to be better than the UAs, and Dr. Strange better still.

For a fledgling animation department, they're doing very well.

when are Iron man and Dr. Strange due out? and is there a 3d UA in planning?

for a second I thought you meant the 1970's one
