Comics New Excalibur Question

Exactly....How many issues after Jean came out of Jamaca Bay with the Phoenix garb did he explain what happened to her?????

People will forgive a writer for oversights if they like the writer. If not they nitpick everything. Everyone blasts Claremont for bringing Magneto back with no explanation yet Morrison got a pass when he did it. I seem to recall him being dead before Morrison came on the books.
They complain that Rachel is not acting in character but not acknowledging that the stories are showing not all is well with Marvel Girl.
Psylocke gets brought back with no explanation yet Jaime Braddock a reality manipulator and her brother has been behind the scenes of this whole run.

Well, Morrison did have Magneto in a wheelchair due to the injuries he sustained from Wolverine. And still, not as bad as Magneto getting decapitated in New York, then being alive and well in Genosha. :down

Before that I believe Wolverine killed him and he was pronounced dead...but this is Marvel

Cuz he's the X-Men's main villain. You see how boring things get when the X-Men fight The Hellfire Club, Mojo, monsters in Africa and in space, etc.

true, why doesn't the writers make up new vilians who are just as evil as magneto. It's not that hard to make up villians in the x-men comics

That's why I wish Sinister would make a return. He was always just a notch below Mags.

cassandra nova

I never really got into her. Not too clear in her story either, all I know is that she has a strong connection to Xavier.

Afte rreading the latest arc of Exiles, I'm thinking Proteus would be a cool villain for the X-Men to fight again.

besides cassandra nova.one more thing is she still alive?

Yes. They trapped her in the body of a shape-shifter and turned her into a student for re-programming. She was Ernst, the little girl who looked like an old woman.

maybe before the castrated him.
Sinister was a bad ass in the issues leading up to Inferno....B-slapping Sabretooth and what not. Now he's just some old geneticist :down

Yeah now he just runs away when anyone threatens him, or when they start breaking his equpitment.

Why not Marvel try making a new Magneto instead?
Im sure they could find somebody, whod been through as much grief and seen as much racial hatred towards them that could take up the mantle after Mags had died.
Would be a lot better than just bringin the same Magneto back from the dead.

On the subject of villains coming to life again.. WTF was the point of bringing back Sebastion Shaw from the dead?

I agree that it would be nice to see the someone carryon in Magneto's work...and then we see Magneto realizing how wrong he was

Oh, Magneto comes to that realization every other week-- especially when Claremont gets ahold of him, again. Claremont went through a huge overhaul of Magneto during the 70s and 80s that eventually led to him becoming a good guy, and teaching the original New Mutants at Xavier's school. Then a new writer took over New Mutants, made Magneto a bad guy again, and we've been stuck with the most fickle and overused X-Men villain ever since.

i heard one of the writers is making a kick ass villian for X-men deadly genesis and its someone from the x-men's pasat so it might be really good.

im not sure im gonna get into Deadly Genesis...I mean how many deadly secrets can Xavier have????

There is an edit button buddy.

I don't even know what Deadly Genesis is really about. All the previews have been super vague and less than informative.

Multiple consecutive posting is against a hype rule(spamming), I'm just tryin ot keep you from probation. Or are you trying to get that post count up(post-****ing)? lol

But Magneto isn't always evil, I think that's part of the reason he has such staying power, when he's evil he can be a complete badass, but when he's just a cynical good guy, he's still pretty entertaining. And for those who aren't fans of "good guy" Magneto, there's always the vague tension wondering when he's going to turn evil again.

I liked good guy Magneto. If you ask me, he should've stayed good in the 80s.
