New Insight on Abombs Look?

Afaik, he cant, even after the Peter David 'spontaneous evolution' ret-con*. But he can hold his breath a very long time...:cwink:

*According to the recent ret-con (and this is not one I like, personally) the Hulk 'evolves' on the fly to suit his environment. So if he is underwater long enough he will evolve lungs capable of taking in oxygen from the water and so on.
In space there is obviously no air so this sort of thing is not an option. I guess the best explanation is to say his metabolism 'evolves' so it can maintain itself much more efficiently on what oxygen was stored when he was last in air. In this manner he could stay in space for a longer amount of time, but indefinitely surviving space would (or should) still be out of bounds.

This is actually pretty old school, the Hulk has been in space before back in the 70's issues. It's not just something PAD or Pak came up with.

His having been in Space before is old, the spontaneous evolution idea however is not. This was introduced just before Planet Hulk.

Regarding his ventures into the void...things about those instances in the good old days were not always explained...I recall him even talking in the vacuum on one occasion. But those were the days when 'reality' was given a little less consideration by comic book writers. Afaik though, the official explanation for his surviving space (and long spells underwater) was that he simply held his breath.

Should also be noted the Super healing factor Hulk is commonly accepted as having was also a ret-con. This was made nearly 20 years ago (again by Peter David). Though the idea has found some legs, at the time it did seem very much forced upon the readers just so the increasingly popular Wolverine could give him a tough time.

Prior to this I don't think I'd ever even seen the Hulk cut by something as basic as a blade (high powered lasers, magic based demons or something similarly exotic could hurt him badly, but a surly midget with some knives?)

After this ret-con though, any Joe nobody with an adamantium knife (magic stuff that adamantium) can cut him to pieces...:csad:

i just think that hulk throws a barrel at him or sumthing makin him catch on fire

what i'm wondering(and HOPING for) is that in the final product he will have the ears. LL mentioned they were keeping them, and as we've seen they keep adding new effects. C'mon they read the boards lets talk about the ears!!!

I think it's a little to late in the game for that change Venomfan.

I was viewing (IGN Website) a few high def photos of the IH films Abomination and I just realized his coloring is due to an almost complete covering of bone. Looking close you can see cracks, which must allow for movement, that show green flesh beneath. At first I thought they were green veins, but looking closer I think its his skin underneath.

Perhaps in future movies....
should they decide not to kill him off in this movie. Of course even in comics a corpse doesn't necessarily mean the character is gone forever. Just look at what they did with Norman Osborn and his death wasn't as clean as his movie counterpart.

This is off topic, but wouldn't it be neat if they started a comic universe based upon some of their movie continuities? It would give writers a chance to continue the movie continuities of various characters as well as correct some oversights, such as the way Venom was treated in SM3.
