OMG, I love Anthony Stewart Head. I'm psyched that they are doing this. Is it really a pilot? I'd read it was a movie, but a pilot, with the potential for more episodes is a billion times better.

Considering the rate that Whedon was a bit of an influence on the new Doctor Who. It would defiantely be great, but with his current schedule of projects it's doubtful. Maybe in series five.

Meh, was never into Giles as a character. I enjoyed Wesley more as a Watcher because he evolved into a bonafide badass who took **** from no one.

But I prefer an Angel comeback more so than a spin-off.

It's gonna be kind of weird given that Anthony Head looks considerably older now than he did as Giles in the Buffy series, let alone before the Buffy series. But I'll be glad to have anything Buffy-related back on TV, to be honest.

Ripper, telling the story of Giles' time in England before he was in Sunnydale is being written as a 90 minute pilot by Joss Whedon for the BBC. Anthony Head will reprise the role of Giles.

That is about time....I have heard this for a long time but never had any confirmation.

Great now all we need is Firefly back in some form!

the only reason davie boreanaz isn't doing angel but in movies is because he's making a killing with Bones. the show gets more viewers and better ratings than angel ever did.

Plus I remember reading an article with DB about how he likes to move on from roles that have be "done". He likes to move on to look to the future.

You mean the guy that helped him from the gutter and then showed him Buffy...

Yeah he is never mentioned again. Doyle was a replacement character for him.

That's just sad. Bones is all right, but it doesn't even remotely compare to Angel.
