    Happy Independence Day, Guest!

BvS New Positivity Thread (READ THE FIRST POST!) - Part 1

I was glad they put that in. I've always hoped to see supes go nuts with the heat vision on screen and Doomsday/darkseid are the perfect vehicles for that.

Looks like a scene from comic books. So unreal.

Also loved when he used it [BLACKOUT]in the Knightmare sequence. Kinda like guilty pleasure. You don't want to see Supes fry humans like that, but it is an alternate vision so it was shocking and cool to witness that.[/BLACKOUT]

Yeah that was awesome, the way he so nonchalantly used it to do the evil deed. I must admit I love me a bit of evil Supes every now and again.

I don't see the point of posting this in the other threads.

God when i saw the heat vision scene, I knew we're gonna get some very special in the DCEU. You don't see epic stuff like that anywhere else!

Yes, I enjoyed that too. Dream sequences are really the only time I'm ok with evil supes.

Yep, my jaw took a while to get back up to my mouth after that heat vision, pure comic book goodness. I wasn't thrilled with Doomsday having heat vision, but it was worth it to see that scene.

Yes. I do hope that dream sequence doesn't actually end up happening, so that Supes stays good.

Imagine a heat vision vs omega beam battle between Superman and Darkseid in JL!! I'm squee-ing in fanboy joy just thinking about it :hmr:

Doomsday looks awfully small in real life :funny:

Someone help me....what was wrong with what Zack Snyder said? Explain it too me, in plain simple English.

I'm happy they made that scene. It will eliminate a lot of questions. I think, it's pretty pivotal, since it explains Superman's abilities range, what he can and can't do and why.

Thank god this thread is picking up again. I couldn't take all the negativity in the main discussion. Such horrible horrible things happening in there :(

Nothing is wrong with what he said. He explained it to us how this interpretation of Superman uses his powers.

Absolutely NOTHING is wrong with it.

Welp its been real guys , but on my way to go see it for the 4th & final time (until Blu Ray of course)..Seems like a hell of a ride , from the announcement to the Trailers to the anticipation of the Fan screening & finally rotten tomatoes its been a rollercoaster of emotions.. Movie keeps getting better the more I think about it.. & the best thing is in a couple months we can do this again with Suicide Squad..

Oh I SO hope we see that in JL. Imagine them still fighting physically while doing it as well :hmr:.

There wasn't anything wrong with what he said.

I've seen BvS 4 times now. The hate this movie is getting is just insane. Using their moms' first names as a connection between them? Just brilliant. Batman spends the entire movie dehumanizing Superman, he's a monster, he's an alien. But in that final moment of their fight, discovering that Superman's mom's name is Martha, and seeing him pleading for his mom's life, it humanizes Superman for the first time in Batman's eyes. He's a boy desperately trying to save his mom, just like me. Oh I love this movie!

And Superman inspires Batman to be a better person by the end of the movie! He's a guy trying to do the right thing in a messed up world, but he keeps trying to do the right thing. And now Batman once again wants to be that too.

Thank you for understanding this! If I see one more post that takes it at face value and says "Batman doesn't kill Superman because his mom's name is the same as his" I'm going to go through the roof. God forbid the movie doesn't hold your hand every step of the way.

Im OBSESSED with this movie. It's literally perfect in every way. There's not a single thing I would change.

Umberto is saying that Warner Brothers is considering a theatrical release for the extended cut before the home video release.

You think there is any truth to this?

Yeah, everytime I hear it, I roll my eyes.
