Happy Independence Day, Guest!
I was glad they put that in. I've always hoped to see supes go nuts with the heat vision on screen and Doomsday/darkseid are the perfect vehicles for that.
Looks like a scene from comic books. So unreal.
Also loved when he used it [BLACKOUT]in the Knightmare sequence. Kinda like guilty pleasure. You don't want to see Supes fry humans like that, but it is an alternate vision so it was shocking and cool to witness that.[/BLACKOUT]
I don't see the point of posting this in the other threads.

God when i saw the heat vision scene, I knew we're gonna get some very special in the DCEU. You don't see epic stuff like that anywhere else!
Yes, I enjoyed that too. Dream sequences are really the only time I'm ok with evil supes.
Yep, my jaw took a while to get back up to my mouth after that heat vision, pure comic book goodness. I wasn't thrilled with Doomsday having heat vision, but it was worth it to see that scene.
Nothing?Someone help me....what was wrong with what Zack Snyder said? Explain it too me, in plain simple English.

Imagine a heat vision vs omega beam battle between Superman and Darkseid in JL!! I'm squee-ing in fanboy joy just thinking about it![]()

I've seen BvS 4 times now. The hate this movie is getting is just insane. Using their moms' first names as a connection between them? Just brilliant. Batman spends the entire movie dehumanizing Superman, he's a monster, he's an alien. But in that final moment of their fight, discovering that Superman's mom's name is Martha, and seeing him pleading for his mom's life, it humanizes Superman for the first time in Batman's eyes. He's a boy desperately trying to save his mom, just like me. Oh I love this movie!
And Superman inspires Batman to be a better person by the end of the movie! He's a guy trying to do the right thing in a messed up world, but he keeps trying to do the right thing. And now Batman once again wants to be that too.
If I see one more post that takes it at face value and says "Batman doesn't kill Superman because his mom's name is the same as his" I'm going to go through the roof.
