Wrong. I actually gave this movie a chance up till the plot details became clear. Even then I was willing to swallow my words until the dreadful trailer, which just confirmed my fears.

ooooh....missed those posts...

those must have been inward yearnings...;)

cause there affraid. they where affraid of tom cruise last year. now this time there affraid of giant robots that turn into cars. i'm shutting up before i make anyone mad by saying negative things about transformers.

Last years change was good for WOTW and F4...this can turn out to be a good change as well....

try looking at the glass half full....it improves your life, and less wrinkles when you are older....:)

You call giving that a chance!?! I don't like people that have such un-positive things to say, yet you come into a Fantastic Four movie board and post negative things, if i am not mistaken that is called being a hater.

If you love the fantastic four but dont like the movies then please click below

i thought it was being called a troll. isn't that what a troll is? they come in a forum with the sole purpose of making the other people in that thread angry?

I like your way of thinking, the more people who say its going to fail the more of a negative vibe is put out and thats just wrong!

down with haters

probaly, i just call it being a hater, or sometimes i call them dream-killers.

i'm a positive think for FF.

like i said before june 15th was the date BB was released. so i expect good things from this slot. its probably better anyway.

Yay! Another rushed Fantastic Four movie!

Ten bucks says this "rushed" sequel outclasses Superman Returns in every way.

This is a GREAT move. It still gives Spider-Man 3 enough room and avoids the same demographic problem with Transformers. The ONLY thing Transformers has over FF2 is the "wow" factor. Kids may want to check out something different. Since Transformers would be a new curiosity and be highly funded, it'll draw the younger crowd.

I can see a very special day next June where attending a double feature of S3 and FF2 will leave me grinning from ear to ear.

said it a couple times but i'll say it again, the sooner the better, you think i want to wait to see the next FF?? lol

I agree, it is a great move boxoffice wise, but once again, what will we get with such a short time from start to release ?
For God's sake! It's only been moved up 2 weeks. Some of you are acting like its been moved up 2 months.

Not quite! If message history went back that far, I'd gladly show ya! :)

This is a great move guys. Just sit back and take a look at the big picture. The more successful this film is we'll ensure FF3 and possible Silver Surfer spinoff so **** if you're complaining and think business.

Looking at the schedule I don't think Fox ever planned to keep this date. With June 15th we have 18 days of no real competition for action/adventure movies. None. With the old date we had Transformers and then Harry Potter the next week and then 10,000 BC right after that which is a mega-budget movie.

This was a good move.

*sigh* :(

This is dissapointing news--not solely because the prep time is now shortened, but it communicates a message of fear to the industry and fanbase--as if to say FOX doesn't have faith in its product. You'd think that FF1 garnering well over $300 million would secure that confidence by now.

The studio would do well not to mention any date until they make up their minds...having moved both of these films twice makes the whole franchise look laughable.

^ So what LS. It also communicates that Fox isn't going to be bullheaded morons and screw up the franchise by playing a game of 150 million dollar chicken. LOok at the release schedule and it gives FF2 lots of freedom to make money for 2 weeks. Most movies make 70% of their money in the first 2 weeks if not more. Going up against Trasnformers and Harry Potter was suicide.

Oh great another rushed production and as someone said a film with no vision. Silver Surfer my ass. I expect a guy to show up painted Silver.

I really want to say that maybe FOX learned it's lesson and will up the ante, but I'm skeptical. FF2 has to up the ante not only to compete with other films, but necause moviegoers are getting tired of seeing the same ole same ole. Come with something different. With Spidey 3 coming out, and TF and HP i think FOX really needs to step up their game with this movie a give some quality entertainment. The F4 is very imaginative material and a lot can be done if the production team has vision. I don't want to see what has worked for other movies. My god set trends, don't follow them.

I don't have much faith in FOX. I think we're going to get more of the same, but one good sign is that Kinberg isn't writing it. A bad sign is the rumor of the SS showing up because no way is FOX going to get him right. It can be done but at FOX? Not to be negative but FOX's track record has proven them to ass things up. I'm just so mad at FOX. Damn can these people do a comic film right? Just because F4 made some money doesn't mean it was good. It was just passable and barly.

I highly doubt the Transformers will tank. i think it's going to be huge. It's something that's never be done on screen. If done right and i suspect it will be with Bay at the helm it going to do well.

A release date change was pretty much guaranteed. I find it odd that its 2 weeks earlier. I wouldn't be surprised if it was moved again in the future.

That made me giggle like a schoolgirl....

Anyway, it makes sense business wise. But it should tell you guys just how much goes in FF when you compare it to the Spiderman franchise. (Another Marvel character with great history)

Just kinda makes you wanna shake your head a little.

Mixed feelings on this, certainly seems smart business wise but they had to move forward as they couldn't push back b/c July is stacked so that doesn't tell me they have confidence just that they had no other option and Lightning is right on the message it sends the industry

If they start shooting in June instead of August it will be no more rushed than ppl thought before as it's only a 2 week shift so im not worried there

One thing to note is that if Fox cared more they would already be shooting like Spider-man 3 has been for over 6 months

I'm shocked....skeptical about something F4???
