I'm liking it more now. The 3rd world final boss was just ****ing annoying with the bouncing balls.

BTW, is there any way to get Toad to give you items besides mushrooms?

I've managed to get all the star coins. People were not kidding about 9-7. That level is evil I tell you! Why was it even snowing in a jungle level in the first place?

9-7? That is scary I thought there were only 8 worlds. A friend and I started playing my copy that I got on Christmas and we are up to world 7 and the boss fights are getting really, really hard. But really the biggest challenge are the castle levels. I also started my own game today to play as Mario (as opposed to Luigi) and have gotten to the end of world 3 without using one continue. Maybe it is due to playing through it before, but it is more like old school Mario and easier on your own. But it is more fun with more people.

Anyway this game is a great nostalgic throwback. I don't have a DS, so this is really cool to have this opportunity to revisit my favorite platformer franchise in its original glory. I've loved every second of it, really.

My sister bought this game yesterday and Ive been enjoying it. I love the nostalgic feel with how they were retain the feel of the classic NES games while giving it a very modern twist. I wish Capcom had gone this route with the Megaman series as its possible to get the best of both worlds as proven here. Anyways I like the powerups especially the propller suit and the Ice fireball. The suit is really fun to use. One minor gripe though is that I wish the bosses talked. I kept expecting them to and it kinda bothered me that they didnt as it made them seem to lack personality that they did in Mario 3 and Super Mario World. Also Ive discovered that I still dislike the water levels. They seem to be even more of a chore now than they were back then

I am LOVING this game so far!!! I got it at christmas and haven't stopped playing lol I managed to get all the star coins for worlds 1-7, just gotta get them for world 8 and 9 which from the sounds of it will be very tough!

Eight has some tricky spots, and some of the coins in nine are hair pullingly difficult.

Overall though, playing through it is like being 10 again playing through the original games on my brand new NES.

We just had a group of four of us beat the game...very fun and chaotic.

Oh. Guess that's why player one always gets Mario then. I really would've liked to have seen them diversified like in The Lost Levels and the GBA rereleases, but other than that, I love this game.

I don't know if i could deal with SMB on the Wii-- i loved it the good ol'fashioned way on super nintendo! i am sure the graphics are pretty sweet though on the wii...

Have you gotten all the star coins? I've just really started playing this game over the past couple weeks and was looking up something and they said you get one star for getting all the star coins.

I'm loving this game though, just beat worl 6 last night and have every star coin so far. Hoping to have the time to finish it this weekend, before starting on Splinter Cell. It's starting to get kind of difficult, but that may just be my impatient style of gameplay, has lead to a number of unnesscessary deaths.
