Hugh Jackman fronts Wolverine

THE world's most famous male chest finally made an appearance yesterday with Hugh Jackman glimpsed for the first time - sans shirt - on the set of The Wolverine at Kurnell.

It appears the actor is in fine physical shape, as always, for his second turn as the bearded mutant, though bizarrely there is yet to be an official announcement about his female co-star.

Despite filming being well underway, the actress set to play Viper in the flick is yet to materialise, with a production rep confirming yesterday that nothing had been finalised.

It's widely reported that the physical role has been handed to Russian actress Svetlana Khodchenkova after Jessica Biel dropped out of talks.

He looks a bit leaner than how he was in both X3 and especially Origins but honestly his physique is still pretty awesome regardless.

Plus I'm sure he'll keep working out his upper body throughout this entire production.

I haven't been a fan of his hair in any of the movies, except when he goes berserk in x2. I think the short hair kinda sucks and looks stupid. It looks forced, Logan's hair should never look forced it'd kind of like his mane in a since. I always pictured even when in water it would wave around but still hold it's shape. I dunno at least his body looks bigger than all the movies.

I think they put wig on him In both Last Stand and Origins.Just like they had to do at end of X2 since the scene after white house back at mansion was a pickup scene.He
had to go from Van Helsing set to film It.

It's going to work better to let Hugh grew his hair to the more short wolverine hair style from ealrier comics and LM Instead of using wig again.

I'm in the wierd minority of liking his hair in X3 . Looked more feral to me. Didn't care for his hair or his slight mustache in Origins.

Loving the short hair though

He had the wig in X3 because he'd just finished The Fountain, and he'd shaved his head for that movie. Origins was right after Australia, and so he didn't need the wig for that one.

I thought it looked great in the FC cameo as well.

Yeah, the natural hair looks way better than the wigs did.
