I personally think that a live action DBZ film would be hard to pull off. But I read once someone said that maybe they should make it in the style on Tintin. You know CGI/Motion Capture but the performers are made to look like their cartoon/manga counterparts.

Just an idea I remembered

Also if they do Gundam, I think Gundam Wing would be the best to start with.

I can say if they're open to doing more with the Power Rangers and think a film will do well, I'll definitely see what I can do to get it in the right direction for the modern age. A couple of these posts with the pictures have really given me a solid idea of where this can go. I was hesitant because I grew up loving it, so any change to that worried me. But, seeing that artwork really set something off. I'm sure you'll find some 90s kid one of these days really going after it. I can also say that there's a cartoon franchise, that has the initials M.M. and its toy-line was kind of the guys' reply to Polly Pocket, that I've been working on that might be gaining ground "soon" because interest has been shown in it by a couple of really important key people at Universal. I don't want to say more about what it is, you can probably guess, but the interest is there in it so that's one 90s childhood franchise that'll be heading your way.

just get zack snyder to do it:yay:

Gotta be thundercats. Lolcats + superheroes = box office gold.

I still wouldn't say no to a street sharks movie though

thunder cats would be bad ass still remember the movie concept art

I want known actors to fill the roles in Power Rangers

If Pacific Rim does well than I'm sure studios will want to hop on that money train, so I'm going with Gundam, Voltron, or Power Rangers as most likely.

I'd like to see Dragonball/Z get a good adaptation.

Outlaw Star.... because Firefly deserves a second chance

I know it started out as an Italian comic book and had a movie in the 60's but to me Diabolik will always be the animated show on Fox Kids, and I think it would make for a cool movie.

One of my local radio guys says he thinks Thundercats would make a 150 mil OW.

When the hell did THIS show happen?!?! :wow:

the new Thundercats show didn't do well did it?
Nope, it's been unofficially cancelled. There's been at least two years and no word on another season.

I want to see C.O.P.S and a big budget HAROLD AND THE PURPLE CRAYON movie.

Power Rangers with a less campy and more serious tone would be awesome, imo. With todays technology, a potential Megazord vs. Monsters battle could be glorious.

Why is it that everyone always reaches for the Grim!Dark card? This might probably be a little more recent and probably outside the comfort zone of most people here but I think one cartoon franchise prime for a live-action, big screen adaptation would be "Totally Spies!".

The target audience and merchandising alone would be a gold mine just waiting to be tapped. However, if the hypothetical adaptation manages to maintain the show's fun, lighthearted and comedic tone - serving as a spoof for the spy genre and featuring ridiculous spy gadgets in the shape of women's appliances - I think it could be genuinely enjoyable (even if somewhat vapid and brainless) summer pop corn fare.

Wow I knew I was forgetting a big one in the poll. Yeah i'd be down to see Gargoyles.

Never got a chance to watch it. Was it any good? The failure of that show would definetly affect a potential live action film though.

And with actors that will bring more depth to the characters and story, like Dakota Fanning and Thomas Sangster

some nice suggestions on poll.

can i also add since being an 80s kid that I also would loved to have seen a reboot of Terrahawks, Bravestarr & M.A.S.K.

Terrahawks to me was Gerry Anderson's best show & a tv comeback for todays audience might be nice idea or at least have old show shown say cartoon network, boomerang etc.

Major Zero & Zelda classic characters and Zelda she even scared my granny back in the day. :woot:

Bravestarr & M.A.S.K also popular and i'm sure there must be decent producers/directors out there that could pen a decent script or 2.

:yay:

If there were to be a new Power Rangers movie, I rather it be cheesy and campy

why ?

kinda misses the point of a reboot if it is exactly what came before it

It was uneven at first and it took some time to get going but once it did it could have been good. They really did an excellent job on all the anthro species. There were even a few classic call backs to the original series without forcing it.
