In the DVD commentary of FF2, Director Tom Story states that he wanted to use Nick Fury instead of his General Hager, however they wouldn't give it to him because they plan on doing a "S.H.I.E.L.D" movie?!?

Who are 'they' and has this been in the works??? Please say David Hasselhoff isn't in this!!

It's on Marvel's upcoming slate on movies to be released in a couple of years but don't expect much news cause it's FAAAAR away. And no....I don't think The Hoff would be in it...thank you jJesus Christ in Heaven LOLt:

So they're going with the 616 Fury as opposed to the Ultimates influenced SLJ Fury huh?

I hope that's the case tbh - I grew up with the Steranko-esque Fury and as much as I like the Ultimates; I'd prefer to see that Fury on screen 1st.

It's the character I grew up with and I just wanna see him done right (after Hoff's version - Nick needs redemption).

Is that too much to ask?

Probably not - I've tried it before but the race thing always gets brought up by someone.

Try stating first off that it isnt a race thing; merely that you prefer to see the character on-screen actually resemble how they've looked in the comics for the past 40 odd years as opposed to how they've been depicted (in what is basically the Marvel equivalent of an 'Elseworlds' title) for the last 3.

They'll still most likely label you a racist. Go figure.
