Ninja Gaiden 3

I just don't understand the logic in that. That's like Mortal Kombat coming out, and then a month later they release a DLC allowing you to do fatalities. If something has been implemented into a game since jump, why take it out of one game and then offer it later on???? Stupidity on Tecmo's part. Somewhere out there Itagaki is laughing his ass off.

Haha! Yeah I bet he is laughing somewhere. NGIII is the biggest letdown of 2012 so far. Yeah, I said it.

I'm keeping an eye out for this. I have the previous two and I'm hoping that Razor's Edge will at least be worth a pick up.

Though I'm a bit disappointed that Kasumi doesn't seem to have any part in the story. I mean it will be fun to play as her, but I really wanted her to be a part of the story. Same with NGS2 which teased her presence, but did nothing with it. It felt like a big wtf moment.

I'd also wish they'd include Hayate as well. I mean this iteration of Ninja Gaiden includes other DOA cast since in those games Ryu has a lot of backstory with some characters, Hayate especially who is supposed to be his closest friend.

all understood and I agree. that all should be done.

here's the latest trailer in Japanese

A new project related to Ninja Gaiden seems to be in the works, going off of an announcement from the series’ composer Keiji Yamagishi. Here’s Yamagishi’s recent statement from Twitter:
“I’m pleased to announce that I’m working on a new project related to Ninja Gaiden. I’ll be able to share more news in July!”
Whether this new project is an actual game or something simply related to Ninja Gaiden, we’ll have to wait until July as Yamagishi said to find out.

Update: Yamagishi-san updated on Twitter saying that the new project does not relate to a new video game.

I'd love to play another game in the franchise.

IMHO, I was not against some of the things Ninja Gaiden tried, but I don't think it took the right conclusions with exploring some of those threads for Ryu. Plus another non-romance and no actual development between him and Irene.

I mean, what's the problem. In the older games they actually had a romance and ended up together.

I feel like the idea of Ryu coming to grips with this idea that he's a killer, righteous or not, was not taken to its logical conclusion.

Even though 3 was a pretty weak entry, I thought Razor's Edge was a pretty decent effort to fix it. I'd be open to a NG4, but the wording of this makes me think it's not really going to be NG4

Ninja Gaiden Black was the pinnacle. It was such a beautiful refinement of an already fantastic game. The original version of 2 was also pretty great imo. 3 felt like it was made by someone who didn't quite get it. I am not talking about the story or anything like but, but purely the gameplay. Even Razor's Edge didn't come close to fixing it imo.

That being said, I am always excited for another go, because if they get it right, well that is only a good thing.

There was nothing you could do to vanilla 3 to truly fix it, but I thought RE was a good effort, even if it really was just polishing a turd and all. I would be open to NG4 from them, but part of me wants them to maybe find another studio, but that doesn't seem to be Koei-Tecmo's style.

well there was that better version of Razor edge that they did for Nintendo (game play wise since it fail the first) and this was one the starts to alot of directors cut and complete edition the game industry started as trend when they scew up and they put it out on other systems fallowing that.

but I think the main issue for most where Gaiden was involved was the story was more all over the place then usual as vile one stated.

I have no idea what you're talking about. They were doing updated versions of the games since the first one with Ninja Gaiden Black

I'm talking about when razors edge wasN'T well recited and then they put out A WAY better version on the wii u which made alot of fans mad CAUSE THIS THe SAME ea WAS TRASHING NINTENDO AND PEOPLE JUMPING ON THE BAND WAGON. ALL cause that that console had the better version game play wise which the first was panned for. and they put that better version that made to the wii U.

It was around the same time as the director cut for Deus ex Revolutions.

Here it is with page 2 where alot of review outlets stated that he Wii u version of razors edge was like a different & better game compared to the first version on other consoles . From the Nintendo section

and I'm done explaining it.

But that is basically like being the best tasting pie made of ****. Yeah, technically it taste the best, but it is still made out of ****. The gameplay was still bad.

Also pretty sure the 360 and PS3 got that version.

it was about how bad it was game play was though. the first version was bad in story and game play while the wiiu version fixed it all with it's version of a directors cut of sorts after all that they put up on the wiiu and it went tothe others. in a way the devs screwed over Nintendo but it was to shut people complaining that only the wiiu got the better version. it was a very weird and annoying scene . But they made up to the other console fans had tie first bad version. or tried to.

I try not to talk about it much cause I've seen some state that it was Nintendo that got the first version for other consoles to be ruined in other place like comments area's of those news outlets.. which makes no sense, when they got it late and the dev's of NG made the better version with that one.

bahhhhhhhhh. I'm just remembering the none sense back then.

Any way I just hope for a new installment and for it to be good .
