Infinity War No More Thanos - The Scarlet Witch Thread

They shouldn't have killed him off in AOU and if he were in Civil War he would have been Team Cap but could you imagine him fighting alongside with his sister Wanda in Wakanda?

Since Storm is my First Lady but she won't be on Infinity War... Wanda is my 2nd and I cannot wait to see how she kicks ass!

Im getting chills reading some of the spoilers...

Was it just me, or was Wanda's accent way tempered in this one? Still maybe a hint of it there, but she sounded virtually American half the time.

yup, I felt that too. She's been interacting with the other Avengers for long enough. Haha, glad of it. Prefer her new accent

Ehh, I dunno it'd change that much over a mere couple of years, at 20-21 years old. But whatever, the very definition of nitpicking here.

Yes, I noticed that too. She's progessively getting more American lol

Which I'm glad, her accent in Ultron was so bad.

Okay, I'm just going to say it...
earlier today I said that Elizabeth Olsen just wasn't doing it for me as Scarlet Witch. Something just wasn't clicking in previous movies. Well, I just came out of Infinity War and Wanda might be my MVP. She was powerful, she was emotional, she was EVERYTHING. She made the ultimate sacrifice in the end and it was beautiful/tragic. I'm a new fan and I totally support her squishing a robot

I feel like Wanda will have some new fans after this film. I hope so, anyway, because this is her biggest role yet, and this movie may be a test of her future in the MCU.

Of course she's coming back in the next movie. The question is whether they have a future for her after they wrap up the story of Wanda and Vision. Elizabeth Olsen has been talking in ways that suggest she may not know yet if they plan to give her a longer-term contract.

She is an odd fit in the MCU and will never get the promotion Carol will, but she has improved a lot and I hope audiences want her around.

Glad you liked it too. I felt that she really comes into her own as a powerful and confident member of the Avengers in this film.

Yes, I hope there are a lot of new fans for scarlet witch after this.

The moment where she saves Okoye and Black Widow and then Black Widow looks at her like she's Thor was amazing.

I agree she is likely to come back (together with all the other dust people)
but really hope she gets a firm role in future avengers films whether Vision survives or not. I agree that her contract plans seems quite open. She openly asked Feige to please keep bringing her back during the Los Angeles press conference for the whole cast

She never did anything for me, but count me among the many who feel like she was one of the Most Improved by Infinity War. She
totally sells the emotion of that last scene with Vision. Olsen's acting chops finally made themselves felt in this one. Plus she kicked some major a$$

My favorite performance of Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch thus far. She was GREAT in this; completely badass too.

Her plotline with Vision was pretty great, too. Heartbreaking, really. By the time Wanda is fading away/dying after Thanos snaps his finger, I noticed that she was the only one smiling.

Very, very dark indeed.

Yeah, at that point...

she'd lost her parents, her brother and the man she loves. She was probably happy to be reunited with them

She blew my mind, perhaps my favorite superheroine performance of all time.

Yes above Wonder Woman.

Oh, absolutely. I just find it to be very unique and just a great character moment for her. Sometimes, small details like that really add THAT much more to the movie.

It was a beautiful moment for sure. It said so much about the character with such a small thing

I also loved
how Black Widow came across as her big sister in this one. Telling her off at the beginning for not sticking to the rules and then saying "she's not alone" when confronting Proxima Midnight"

Yup, awesome moment between them. I loved how she was really treated like a powerhouse member of the team like Thor in this film instead of a troubled newcomer like in Civil War
