I stand corrected. I remember hearing MGS3's sales figures were a disappointment a few years back and saw that it didn't break a million. I guess it just got off to a slow start.

I think you might have been thinking about Subsistence. MGS3: Snake Eater sold about 3.96 million with MGS3: Subsistence doing 0.15 million. That one didnt do as well but that was expected since it was the same game, just released with extra content

Because we'd have to hear the Xbots rub it in our faces for years to come, and it would also be really bad for our system. That's like if we said "Why would it suck if Xbox 360 had no exclusives?" That would be a pretty easy question to answer if you're an Xbox fanboy.

I think thats a stupid excuse. You still have your copy of MGS4, so there really is no reason to act like a jackass. Now i can understand if say MGS4 left the PS3 completely but its asinine to throw a hissyfit if it goes to another console.

By the time the 2nd and then the 3rd game came out, you realized how dated the control scheme was which hindered the 2nd and 3rd games.

I think the problem is that the only reason some people bought the PS3 was under the assumption that MGS4 would only be on PS3, thus eliminated the need to buy a 360 because while it is superior in a lot of other ways (of which these people would probably not admit) it doesn't have MGS4. Thats the only reasoning that makes any sense to me and it still sounds kinda stupid.

Yea i guess i can see that, but if you are going to purchase said system for said game, why wouldn't you wait until said game hits shelves before you make your purchase? Really to get right to it, if you are offended by one game going to another console, you're an idiot.

I will not be "offended" if it's on another system, it's only a game for cripes' sake. But it would be bad for the system's success, and since I am a PS fan, I obviously want to see my system do well.
