Sequels No Sam Raimi for Spider-Man 4?

That doesn't matter. Freddy Prinz JR loves spidey and knows more about spidey than Tobey does and even wanted the role but did that come to pass? Hell no. Raimi has had his 3 movies. His schedule for his next projects are already in conflict with him having a remote chance of directing spider-man 4. You need to realize that there are other directors and actors that have a passion for brining spider-man to life and could do a much better job than what has already been done.

Yo need to go back and read the text in which I based my post. It's got nothing to do with liking FPJ. The fact is, spideyhero12 was talking about Raimi having a passion for the character and I replied saying, FPJ has a passion for spider-man too but just because a person has a passion for something, it doesn't mean they're able to act on it. Raimi does indeed have a passion for spider-man but his schedules for other projects are in conflict with directing a spider-man movie in the next couple of years and there's no way Sony are going to wait.

I don't want him near a spidey movie neither, hell I don't even like the guy but my point still stands. He has a passion for spider-man but it wont get him anywhere near the film set. Raimi has a passion for spider-man but with the way his schedule looks, he wont be directing sm4. That is all.

There are other directors, might I add better directors out there than Mr. Raimi, so I'm not really worried. I've often wondered if Sony has a list of the directors at the ready, who can't wait to direct a Spidey film. Or will they rely on Vaderbilt's script to lure in potential directors. I do wonder.

With Raimi directing this new Jack Ryan series, and Maguire looking to star in two new movies (and apparently the head of his own production company), it looks like we'll be getting a new director and, at the very least, a new Peter Parker.

i wanna see a new Direction for the Franchise,it should be more like the Incredible Hulk a stand alone Movie,and that would make it much easier for a new Cast.

You guys completely missed the point of his post. He wasn't saying he wanted FPJ in a Spider-man movie, he was making the point that just because someone's passionate about a character it doesn't make them the best man for the job.

I know for me, I certainly do not want to see Raimi back. He produced two good movies and one average one, but he left much to be desired in the character of Peter Parker and Spider-man, and I'm ready for someone else to take a crack at the character. Hopefully someone that understands the Peter Parker/Spider-man dynamic better.

I agree. I think the best way to continue the Spider-man series is in a James bond style. Just keep making films with a loose connection to each other.
