nolans superman

ok, i know i know that there's already a thread on christopher nolans superman movie. but i thought this thread could post just pictures of what they think superman will look like. i have a feeling this thread will get merged somewhere but i wasnt sure where to put it. these could be fan made or just actual pictures from the comics. but what do you think the superman will look like? i dont know, i figured i'd post some things that i think the movie will look like.

i do think people should stop worrying about what the look of the film will be. while batman begins was "dark", it was mostly just at night. i have a feeling the superman movie will mostly be during the day. much like when we saw bruce wayne during the day. that'll probably the look of most of the film. i think superman's nolan will be a combination of district nine, iron man, and batman. i say district nine because brainiac is supposed to be in it.

not just a costume thread, but scenes you think that nolan may do for his movie. do you think he'll do a quick montage of his origin or sprinkle it out through the whole story like batman begins?

Very nice drawing, i'd love to see a colored version of this. Who's the artist?

no idea who the artist is of that. someone made it awhile ago and i thought it was great. the only thing i dont care for is the belt. i think it should be straight and not v. the artist itself has his signature on the picture but i have no idea who it was. i think a fan made it. i'd love to see it in color. i'm really curious if nolan/new director is going to keep the suit classic. i could see them getting rid of the trunks and just putting a splash of red on the side of his pants. according to showtime, he thinks the suit is going to be more "classic" looking compared to sr. but who knows, everything is speculation right now. i'm pretty excited for all this. good time again to be a superman fan. )

yeah, couldn't agree more. I'm curious about how they will approach the costume as well. Hopefully it will look good whatever they decide.

I really like this by Shane Davis for the upcoming Superman: Earth One. Just for the movies take away the red trunks. I just can't see Nolan's Superman with the trunks. Not an armor suit like Batman either!

I really think the Lex Luthor Man of Steel lee bermenjo look is what they will be going for. Lee Bermeno's joker look is pretty much how the Nolan joker came out looking.

yesterday i posted pictures of some comics and fan made stuff that i think may be possibilities for the look of nolan's/new director superman movie. today i thought i'd post some stuff from various animated versions. i have a feeling a lot of his version is going to be similar to the bruce timm version of superman. going to be somewhat realistic where superman isnt quite as powerful. from the speculation, i think brainiac is going to be somewhat similar to the timm version as well as it will probably connect to krypton and its destruction, which i think is a really good idea.

i do think that theres going to be more than one version of supermans suit. once he goes up against brainiac the first time, he may realize that he needs some sort of suit to help protect him a little bit more. which will be the first time that there is more than one version of supermans suit on the big screen and a way for him to not have to be tied down to the superman "undies".

I really like the different shades of blue on the first drawing. I'd change the \S/ to the classic shield used in marketing (and rarely drawn accurately in comics) and put the /\/\ points on the boots.

I also like the second pic, though I'd straighten the belt.

Of the two, I think the first is the best "re-imagining" that still is essentially the classic suit, which is what I think the new movie suit will need to be.
