nolans superman

I want to see a thread like this but you cant post pictures of superman but pictures of other movies that you want the film to look like.

that would probably be the superman movie look thread, i blanking on the real title. but we have a thread to post looks of the city/smallville/krypton etc.... in that thread.

I think what i mean is i want to see people use scenes or images from other films that show actors portraying what they want their vision of Superman to look like, also what kind of look to the film they want.

I will look at this other thread you suggested though :)

ok yea as i said i dont recall which title it is, but it should be like 52-54 pages long.

An older (NOT old, just older, Supes) a guy who has a more traditional, 1950's Charles Atlas build.

Not to bash your idea, but i just cant see Superman looking like a serious almost grumpy dad in a recent Superman movie that is trying to save the franchise. As much as a love the idea of Clark being like Atticus Finch i just dont see it working for todays people. Not that we need to give them a Robert Patterson Superman but we do need him to have some sex appeal for the ladies. Think Arnie in T2..but less robotic

That's cool, but Hollywood already tried to deliver "everything the audience was expecting" and the result was Superman Returns.

I'm really not interested in a superman that bored housewives can salivate to, I wanna see a leader of men!
Time for a clark/Superman who looks like he does in the comics (we've never properly had before)

Also, it's depressing to me that, in this day and age, people automatically equate "older" with "grumpy dad"... If you cast an old(er!) Superman, you'll most likely get an actor who can bring an air of much needed gravitas and absolute authority to the role.
Good as Routh was, it's hard to believe Bale's Batman would ever take order from him.

i do hope they have a costume that suits the actor's body well, and we got someone who gets into solid shape like hemsworth did for thor.

Agreed, It shouldn't be form-fitting if it makes the actor look sissy.

I agree. I dont care if they're in their late 30's or early 40's, i'd love to see an eric bana or jim caviezel in the role.
Bana is already in great shape, caviezel would have to add some bulk. Both would bring what your talking about to the role. It will NEVER happen of course, but it would be great if it did.
