Here are the solicits for November.

There's a lot that I'm interested in but I have no idea how much I'll buy.

Both Venom and Captain Marvel are absent from the solicits. And judging by the solicits for Scarlet Spider and knowing its sales, I'm expecting that one to secretly vanish from the solicits as well.

There's a glaring UPPER-CASE error in Amazing X-Men. Nightcrawler died in Second Coming, not Messiah Complex :)

It looks like Avengers Academy is ending, soon to be relaunched in some fashion for the "season 2" that's been talked about before.

Kid Gladiator returns in Wolverine & the X-Men Annual 1, which is also an Infinity tie-in. I'm not sure if I'm continuing with this title or not, but I might pick this up just because of him.

Hey! Hawkeye's giving us two free staples! Nice!

Nova #10 is apparently issue #100 as well. I feel like I'm in 2004 again. And really, a giant, oversized #100th issue of Nova about Sam Alexander is EXACTLY what we want

I'm a little curious about X-Men: Gold. I've not heard a thing about it?!!!

That X-Men: Phalanx Covenant hardcover looks pretty sweet!

Funny that's immediately followed by:

I take it you mean Avengers Arena? :p

And Lady Deathstrike's new look is weird.

I don't read Avengers Arena but seriously f**k all that Season 2 boo crap. This ain't TV.

Yeah, that season 2 thing is stupid. I bet it's just Marvel's thinly veiled attempt to make their constant relaunch's "hip" and "cool".

But really though, if they are so worried that high numbers confuse young readers, they're gonna really be confused when there's 8 different issue #6's or 7's out there when they look for back issues. It would just be easier to do month and year instead of the conventional volume/issue method.

I'm kinda pissed. Ultimate Spiderman is one of my favorite books out there, and it seems as if they're just going to off that universe

I wouldn't worry too much, while it looks like the Ultimate Universe is going to be trashed, it's becoming more and more likely that Miles Morales will get transported to the 616 Universe.

Especially since the solicit for CATACLYSM: THE ULTIMATES LAST STAND #2 outright says Miles Morales is headed to "the Marvel Universe." Plus, Bleeding Cool thinks he's also getting a potential name change:

MIGHTY AVENGERS #3 AL EWING (W) GREG LAND (A/C) Variant Cover by RON WIMBERLY INFINITY TIE-IN! The Blue Marvel joins the fight - and the Ebony Maw makes his move! A plague of demons is raging through Manhattan, and the only Avenger who can defeat them is... Spider Hero? What? Seriously, who is that guy?
And honestly, if Cataclysm does turn out to be the official end of the Ultimate line, it's really been a long time coming since the Ultimate Comics never really recovered from the debacle known as Ultimatum.

Maybe the "Spider" on the Mighty Avengers was going to be Miles Morales all along...

:yay:

Eh, as someone who read and loved USM from the beginning, I'm more than okay with the Ultimate universe ending. It was great when it first started but it's really run its course and stopped being fun after Ultimatum when the continuity somehow became more complicated than the main 616. I still read USM but it's not nearly as good as it used to be (I was surprised how much I grew to like Miles) so I won't miss it too much when it's gone. Not to mention that Miles will most likely make the move to the 616.

So after looking it over... here is my November buy list:

Definite
Uncanny Avengers 14
All New X-Men 18
All New X-Men 19
Uncanny X-Men 14
Daredevil 33

It's pretty sad that I'm down to only 4 definite titles from Marvel. It was maybe 4 or 5 years ago that I bought nearly every 616 title they put out. I remember back when I was younger and every title I read was like magic. Nowadays I LOOK for reasons to drop titles. I just don't care for how Marvel runs their business. I'll admit to them putting out some high quality books, but DC's just caught my eye more right now, and since Marvel has been the one pushing the high prices, I fault them more than DC and feel obligated to cut from Marvel's side first. Besides all that though, I assume I'll pick up another title or two when Marvel NOW phase 2 kicks in (which I feel Amazing X-Men should have been a part of).

That said, I love most of what's up there. Uncanny Avengers has been consistently good and I love the direction it's going. All New X-Men is the best book Marvel's putting out as far as I'm concerned. Uncanny isn't near as good but has its moments. But I'm an X-Men fan through and through and can't bring myself to drop the book starring Cyclops. Daredevil is consistently good. He's one of my favorite characters and I missed him a LOT when I dropped this book shortly after it first started. I don't prefer the lighter tone, but the book is dang good.

Most Likely
Infinity 6 ($5)
New Avengers 12

I'm very intrigued by the events in New Avengers... primarily the Wakanda/Atlantis War, and I love the cast. Provided it keeps up the quality of the two most recent issues, I'm on board. Infinity started great and since I'm buying New Avengers, I'll continue with it. As long as it doesn't take a nosedive like Age of Ultron, I'll finish it out for New Avengers and its own sake.

Maybe
Avengers 23
Infinity: The Hunt 4 ($4)
Amazing X-Men 1
Wolverine & the X-Men 38
Wolverine & the X-Men Annual 1 ($5)
X-Men 7
Young Avengers 12

Okay, the grey area titles. Some of these I'm curious about, such as Avengers and The Hunt. I love student titles and like that some of the X-Students are FINALLY mixing with other young characters in the Hunt. I want to skim the first issue before deciding on that one. Avengers I enjoyed while reading it, but I dropped it for financial reasons. Infinity has peaked my interest again and I am considering picking up the Avengers tie-ins, provided I cut enough to make room for them... and I think I have. It's still undecided. It also depends if I can pick up what I'm behind on on ebay for cheap. One's ending in about an hour and a half. We'll see if I can win that.

The rest are potential drops. Wolverine & the X-Men has massively dropped in quality since AvX. I've dropped it once during the Savage Land arc but picked it back up once I heard about the Hellfire Saga. It sucked all the way up to the Hellfire Saga, but the past 2 or 3 issues have really picked up. So now I'm questioning if I should drop this title after Battle of the Atom or if I should give it a little longer now that the Hellfire Club story is settled. I just don't much care for how Aaron writes this title anymore. We'll see.

Also, Amazing X-Men is written by Aaron as well. The premise sounds stupid, so I don't really expect this to be any better than Wolverine & the X-Men. If not for Nightcrawler it'd be an easy drop. Plus, I don't care for the artist. I figure I'll skim the first issue.

X-Men is a decent read, but I don't know what to make of it yet. I figure I'll see what the future solicits say before making any decisions. I liked the first 3 issues, but they didn't blow me away. I'm mostly staying on for Jubilee, and while I do like what I've read so far, it's definitely one of my least enjoyed titles. I feel like I see promise here though and should give it more time post Battle of the Atom.

Lastly, Young Avengers. I love the art but haven't really been feeling the plot. The past two or three issues have picked up over the first arc, but that's mostly because the first arc was painfully sucky. I only stayed with it because I knew Prodigy was coming, and he's a big part of why I'm still with it. I've considered dropping it every single time a new issue comes out... and I still am.
