Dillon isn't sympathetic in ASM2. He is a psycho and unlikeable.

He is sympathetic. Or he's supposed to be. The bad execution of the character makes him come off as unlikeable. But he is meant to be sympathetic. He is a lonely loser, nobody cares about his birthday, he stepped on by his fellow employees, and he thinks he's a nobody.
