why is all of it Sean's fault? As for Matt's problems, he's an adult who makes his own decisions. He should suffer whatever consequences. Annie is still young and yes, Sean's parenting had some part to play in her screwed up behavior but I think Julia is equally to blame. I think she was pretty careless when she decided that she was a lesbian all of a sudden and moved her children in with Olivia and Eden. I agree that the whole serial killer storyline with Sean's wife was pretty bad. So I'll give you that.

I agree, I think Sean has always tried to be a model parent but it seems like there's always an obstacle (Christian) that steps in his way. Ever since Sean found out that Matt wasn't his, everything just went down hill from there. Everything. His marriage fell apart, Matt became screwed up, it all pretty much came apart because Christian screwed Julia.

Well I gotta say this weeks episode was ******ed and forced just like with all the times they kept trying to squeeze Excobar back into the plot (even though this last thing with his daughter was pretty good.) But there are still plenty of characters that have loose ends that had just as big if not bigger of an impact on Sean and Christians lives ie Merrill. Quentin. Kit. Those are just the main 3 I can think of. Id love to see Bradley Coopers character again forgot his name and Christians daughter that Matt banged. This shows writing has become as inconsistent and borish as the 3rd season of Heroes (even though I actually liked it at the time.) Anymore I just watch cuz Ive watched since the beginning and want to see it through. For real though the writing has been horrendous for a while now. Same thing pretty much goes for Rescue Me cept this past season had its high points

I was really... really hoping that Matt was going to punch her right in the face when he was barreling towards her at the end.

I still think there is a hidden thing going on, his reaction to the text, and the look on his face as he was walking towards her. My theory is that she took Jenna.

But, I am glad next week is the final episode. This show has been going down hill since the beginning of season 4 and now it's just an unfocused mess. I've seen every episode so I'm ready to see it through, but I won't miss it when it's gone.

Also, where the **** is Wilbur? That kid has vanished and I doubt he'll show up next week.

Agreed.

Wilbur will be there next week.

Pilot Intel: 'Nip/Tuck' vets Walsh and Richardson join new pilots

On the eve of Nip/Tuck’s series finale, two of its stars are moving on to the next phase of their careers.
Dylan Walsh has been tapped to headline CBS’ Untitled Michael Dinner Pilot, while Joely Richardson has joined ABC’s The Whole Truth.
The Untitled Michael Dinner Pilot, originally titled ATF, centers on an ATF agent (Walsh) who’s struggling to balance career and family.
The Whole Truth, meanwhile, chronicles the building of a case from the perspective of both the defense and prosecution. Richardson will play the prosecuting attorney.

I'm interested in what Julian will do next. I've always enjoyed the characters he has played.

I haven't watched this show since Season 6 started; just didn't care after the lackluster fourth and fifth seasons. Catching up via some episode recaps shows me this thing has spiraled into a mess, changing the characters from being simply flawed, yet endearing to just irresponsible and plain unlikeable. I'd likely have invented new profanities if I subjected myself to this.

They've managed to turn Matt into an even bigger *****e. That took some work. What a jackass.

I will be tuning in for the last ep though. I've got to see what kind of ****ed up ending these characters get. Throw conventionality out the window.

I can't believe tomorrow is the series finale already. I remember watching the pilot episode when it aired for the first time. I thought "WTF?"

I have a terrible feeling it's going to be a very disappointing finale. The teaser didn't look very interesting. I hope I'm wrong, but the writing in this final season has just been so bad.

If Ava kills Matt, that'd make it all worth it :oldrazz:

I don't think any real game changing events will occur. Aside from Julia, Annie, and Connor moving out of the country, I think everyone will stay right where they are. Sean and Christian will continue their lives alone but with each other.

I have a feeling it will end with the characters sitting around a table eating dinner and then fading to black. They really have not builded towards anything special this year and you think they would go all out with guns a blazing. Im just not into how they have made all the main characters a bunch of a-holes towards the end.

It's sad to say, as much as I was into this show initially, I don't have much interest to watch the finale.

I was hoping for a little bit more from the finale. But still pretty good.

I gotta admit it was a solid finale. Even though the past few years of Nip/Tuck have been crap, they managed to end it on an emotional note and all the character arcs got wrapped up. Sean will finally find happiness and Christian...well will always be Christian and he's accepted that. I just wish the road to the finale was better than the mess we got tho.

I agree, the finale was pretty good. Everything came full circle. I was satisfied with the way things ended for Sean, Christian, Julia, and Liz. I kind of hoped they would have killed off Matt but what are you gonna do? If you think about it, he was at his happiest when he was with Ava so I guess it makes sense to end his storyline with her. I just absolutely loved the throwback to the season 2 dinner table scene. Same 360 degree rotation and same music. And then there was the final Christian scene at the bar with a look-alike Kimber. Almost brought a tear to my eye. Christian will never change and I wouldn't have it any other way. :yay:

I do kinda feel bad for Christian tho. You can tell that deep deep deep down inside he loved Sean like a brother and now he's gone for good. What will become of Christian now without his better half to help balance him? Sean may find happiness but will Christian?

I'd like to think that Christian will move on with his life. He still has Wilbur and Liz and her upcoming baby. He has plenty to keep him busy with the practice he shares with Liz now. It's not like he'll never see Sean. I'm sure they'll visit each other. As for true happiness, that's hard to say. It seems to me that he'll continue his ways but will never be truly happy.

Now that this show is gone i have nothing left to watch on FX anymore. I only watched this show and The Shield and both are over. Now what do i do? lol

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. You will love it. It's the only show on FX that's remaining for me.

Two of my favorite shows are ending this year: Nip/Tuck being one and LOST being the other. Most likey, 2 more shows that I watch will end next year. It won't be long before I have nothing to watch on TV. :csad:

Dude! I feel the same way. I feel like since around 2008 all of my shows have been ending. The Shield, Prison Break, The Wire, Scrubs (i dont count this new bastardized season), 24 will probably end this year, Lost is ending, and now Nip/Tuck is gone. SO depressing man. But i'll give Sunny in Philly a try, i've heard great things bout it too.:yay:

Yeah Sunny is pretty good you guys should checkout Rescue me and Breaking Bad even though when rescue me comes back on it'll be it's last season.

I'm echoing some of you guys here: It's weird that this show is ending. It's easily one of my top 20 faves of all time and it's always weird when these shows you watched forever end. But...we're all tv watchers here, you'll get more shows.

I've been a fan of Nip/Tuck through it all. Many fans jumped ship during season 3 with the Carver storyline as none of it was as great as the first two seasons. But overall, I've felt the show has still been quite good. In fact, it wasn't until the "final 8" began airing did i feel the show was out of gas. Having said that, the two episodes preceeding the finale were really great, especially the one right before. Famke Janseen's Ava is by far the best recurring character the show ever had and it makes sense to bring her back for the final two shows.

The finale itself was everything I wanted it to be. I didn't really expect all the characters to get such happy endings but it works. At times I thought either Matt, Sean, or Christian were going to kill themselves during the finale but I'm glad they didn't. Nice to see they didn't forget Wilbur exists. Great ending to an great(and supremely underated) series.
