do you mean season 4 or first part of season 5?

I meant the first part of Season 5. It veered away from the usual Nip/Tuck, which I guess is refreshing, but it got pretty ridiculous. I don't hate Season 5 part A, but it is definitely my least favorite.

Season 5 part B, however, is awesome.

I see them doing what the Shield did...they basically had the last season over the course of about 10-12 days(within the show)...if that

I totally agree. I liked the season 5 part A premiere but that was about it. I got really annoyed with the crazy psycho agent lady and that horror movie music that came on everytime she appeared. But I'm loving this second half of season 5. It feels like old Nip/Tuck again.

I'm glad the show knows when it's ending, because that generally leads to a stronger finale.

I think my favorite scene of the series was when Quentin had Sean and Christian tied up at the end of Season 3. The music, his rant, it was all really good. The reveal of who the Carver was, wasn't at all the most surprising thing ever, but the build up to it and execution of the last 2 episodes was really well done.

Season 2 for me. Ava all the way. I thought season three was the worst. :(

the Carver plot line was stretched out too much (he was originally supposed to be just an episode or two thing in season 2) and the reveal of his identity was INCREDIBLY disappointing given the build up to it all season long.

The carver was beyond lame. I mean, the storyline was great in Season Two, and provided the best season finale I have ever seen, but by Season three it became tiresome, and predictable.

Seasons 1-3 are unbeatable and were the prime of the show. Everything since hasn't been close in terms of quality.

Big season 6 spoiler!

'Nip/Tuck' scoop: 'Lost' grad is Sean's MIA bro

Sean McNamara's family tree is having a little work done.

Nip/Tuck has tapped Lost alum Neil Hopkins (he played Charlie's heroin-addicted sibling, Liam) to join the cast as Sean's long-lost brother, Brendan, sources confirm to me exclusively.

An FX rep wouldn't confirm the hire, but a Nip/Tuck insider describes the character -- who'll be introduced at the tail end of the show's upcoming sixth season -- as a recovering meth addict (pigeonholed much, Neil?) who has been living on a nature preserve. "Sean thought his brother had died," explains the source. "So he's definitely surprised to see him."

Nip/Tuck's fifth season concludes on March 3. FX has yet to announce a launch date for season 6, but Wikipedia puts it at early 2010, followed by the series-concluding seventh season in 2011. Take that with a grain of salt, though.

What do you think about Sean getting a brother? Intriguing development, or the latest in a long line of shark-jumping moments for the show? Sound off below!

[blackout]Well someone's gotta replace Christian if he dies during the show[/blackout]

do you think they would really kill him off during the show? I think he will go in the series finale.

If Christian dies I seriously think I might be done. That would be like Killing Tommy on Rescue Me. Julian Mcmahon is the reason I started watching this show. OOHH Its the guy from Charmed!! I gotta check this out!! Ya know lol

[BLACKOUT]Well with Sean's connection to dead people I don't see him leaving the show, but I can see him in spirit form near the end of the series[/BLACKOUT]

hadn't thought about that. good idea!

It all really depends on the delivery, but Nip/Tuck has never really disappointed me in that regard.

The episode Christian dies is the last episode I watch. (Unless he dies in the second to last episode or something like that).

It's probably going to happen in the series finale, and the episodes from here on out will basically chronicle his last couple of months. I don't see them killing him beforehand, honestly. That's the only way to end it, IMO.

yeah, I'd rather see him go in the series finale than midway through the last season.

I really hope he doesn't die (BTW, I didn't read the spoiler above, so whatever it is, please don't tell me).

The show can't exist without Christian, the same way it can't exist without Sean. The other characters can come and go (I personally wish Julia would just do the world a favor and off herself) but Christian and Sean are the heart and soul of the show. I do think that, if Christian dies, it will be in the last (or next to last) episode... but I hope that, somehow, he survives. I don't care that he's a fictional character... you don't ALWAYS have to end a series on a death to make it good.

As for favorite seasons... 1-3 were golden for me... the Carver thing got a little ludicrous but he was such a creepy cool villain that the somewhat silly resolve didn't bother me. I HATED season 4 though. That season actually made me quit watching for a while. I loathed how they completely dropped the ball on the Matt/tranny/psycho girl's dad cliffhanger. I was really excited to see what they were going to do with that and they just flushed it down the crapper. And all that kidney-stealing stuff with Sanaa Lathan and Escobar was just terrible.

BUT... I do think that seasons 5 (both parts) have really returned the show to prominence. I loved the whole Hearts & Scalpels subplot and Colleen was beyond creepy (she's a hell of an actress too... I didn't even realize that was Michael's mom on Burn Notice!).

yea Sharon Gless has been around for a bit....her big break was on a CBS cop show Cagney and Lacey

Yeah... never watched that show though. Heard it was good.

It makes me a little sad that the series is ending now that I've gotten back into it again, but at least there are still two more seasons.

I really hope the Carver comes back, just once. It's completely unnecessary, but I'd still love to see it.
