Christian is slowly becoming Sean and Sean is becoming Christian

The finale was pretty underwhelming until the end twist, which was predictable in itself, but still welcomed.

I was witing for Kimber to do or say something ****ed up at the wedding. This is Nip/Tuck. Something ****ed up is always happening. Although, I suppose Starbuck the Anesthesiologist going on double identity murderess was something.

There's no way Christian is changing. He cares about Liz, but it was the realization of his own mortality that led to this sham of a marriage, simply because he didn't want to be alone. Now that the Big C is off the table, he'll be back to the same narcissistic, somewhat self-destructive ******* he was before. Frankly, I welcome it.

I really don't want Christian to go back to normal. I like him better when he seems to care things.

I think it would be best if Christian stayed the way he's been since he thought he was dying, while Sean descends into debauchery. The reveal of Teddy leading a double life, and furthermore being a killer, was an impressive turn. Sean can't seem to get away from the crazies, I guess!!!

i didn't like the teddy alter ego story...seems like they just wanted to add it for teh sake of making her more interesting than just being a wild chick

I haven't really enjoyed Teddy at all since she first came to the show.

Yeah, having her lead a double life was pretty silly... and making her a murderer was really over-the-top. Seriously... does EVERYONE Sean and Christian come in contact with have to dissolve into a complete psychopath?

I guess Christian and Sean have that unique ability of attracting psychos

That they do.

My predictions for next season:

Christian will actually make an attempt at married life with Liz but will eventually screw it all up, either by cheating on her or just getting pissed and verbally ripping her to shreds.

Sean will totally fall for Teddy, which will cause Teddy to try to kill him. Julia will show up and save the day. Sean and her will then reunite.

Kimber will continue to try and worm her way back into Christian's life, but after repeated rejection and no hope and making a life on her own, she'll attempt suicide.

Matt will actually get his life on track but will still manage to screw up something big. Not sure what though.

yeah, I pretty much see things turning out the same way. Maybe the way Christian screws up his marriage is by having a weak moment with Kimber and screws her and Liz finds out. Kimber has that way of acting sympathetic and Christian falls for it. She did the same thing in season 2 when she was with Sean and he caught them screwing. lol

The d*** makes them go crazy!! :woot:

WHAT A COP OUT! What a cliche... Switched files... That's such BS.

I still have a feeling Christian will die by the end of the series. His cancer could still come back...

Yeah, the whole switched file thing was pretty silly. This show has trouble committing to things.

So how would you guys rank season 5 with the other seasons in the show?

Season 5 was a nice return to what the show really was, I think. Season 4 was still pretty good, but they kind of dropped the ball after the whole Carver thing. They were desperate and used the organ harvester thing. But Season 5 definitely brought it back. I have a feeling we'll see the serial anal dude again in S6, for some reason. Or they'll just have Teddy as the main antagonist.

keptin u completely missed the episode sethu, it played multiple days ago on multiple weeks ago, akbar, it was goodifying but not v good to watch again or summon much praise from above

Ryan Murphy did an interview with TV Guide promoting his new sow Glee and they talked a bit about Nip/Tuck and what's next for Sean and Christian.

TVGuide.com: Looking at Nip/Tuck's final season, what's in store for Christian, given the news he got at the end of the last episode?
Murphy: I will tell you that he goes through a horrifying divorce. I think Christian and Liz are so good together so we kind of have a whole season based on their breakup and how they remain friends.

TVGuide.com: And Sean?
Murphy: The next season is really about money, about how the recession really affects the plastic-surgery industry, because I think people are more worried about their car payments and mortgage payments than about paying for lipo or boob jobs, so Sean's preoccupation is about keeping his family and business afloat in troubling times.

while it is true that the economy is in recession, the people that can usually afford liposuction and boob jobs are not the ones in trouble.

I've seen pieces on the news that the plastic surgery industry is not doing so well. A lot of cosmetic surgeons have to do reconstructive surgery because their patients can't afford that boob job or liposuction.

When "Nip/Tuck" made its debut in 2003, it broke cable-viewing records and instantly distinguished itself with its stylized look, tongue-in-cheek tone, gorgeous stars and fresh take on America's obsession with beauty and youth. Those qualities earned it a Golden Globe for best drama, critical acclaim and water-cooler buzz that lasted for most of its first four seasons.

But when one of FX's signature series quietly wrapped last week on the Paramount lot, it did so without the usual fanfare associated with the end of a noteworthy show. In part, the silent send-off was because TV viewers won't see the "Nip/Tuck" finale, which finished shooting on June 12, for a long time, probably as late as 2011, making it tricky to publicize. Behind the scenes too, during the last week of production, there was an awkward sense that the end had already happened, since much of the crew had already moved to creator Ryan Murphy's new Fox musical, "Glee," last year, and Murphy himself was out of the country location-scouting for an upcoming movie.

"It's sad because it feels incomplete," said script supervisor Diana Valentine, who asked the cast to sign her finale script in between takes of shooting the show's last family dinner scene, which included almost every major character. Valentine, who joined the series in its second season, worked on "Beverly Hills, 90210" for its entire run. "It's not the same feeling I had when I was wrapping on '90210'. It feels incomplete, kind of separate. It's very hard."

.........

"There have been so many goodbyes that maybe, honestly, the goodbye gene is spent now and now I'm ready for this goodbye with this story," Richardson said. But hours later, when her work on "Nip/Tuck" was over, Richardson wept as she went around the room quietly hugging everyone. Thirteen-year-old Kelsey Lynn Batelaan, who played Annie McNamara, received a long embrace from Walsh when she completed her work.

"Right now, it's kind of overwhelming and there are mixed emotions," Maffia said. "But I think when time passes, or when I drive by the lot, it's gonna be like damn."

If there is a surprise to the way "Nip/Tuck" ends, it's in its restrained quality, which several of the actors said they appreciated after seasons of shocking and preposterous story lines.

"I've always thought the show should have been simpler than it was so, for me, it was nice to have a little less than what we've been expanding upon for the last number of years," McMahon said. "I think you'll have an emotionally justifiable episode in the end."

In separate interviews, Walsh and McMahon both said that what they'd miss the most about working on the show was each other.

"I'll miss every day sitting in one trailer or another, talking about everything going on with the show and our lives," Walsh said. "We are what Ryan wanted the show to be. I love him. That's the best thing I got out of the show -- it was him."
