At this point, the only way to end Matt's character is to kill him. He's probably the biggest villain of the whole series. Escobar and the Carver have got nothing on him.

Pretty weak finale to the first half of the season. When they split season 5 in two, they ended the first half by having Colleen stab Sean. That was awesome.

colleen stabbing would have been awesome if it weren't for the fact how many of NIPtuck's characters survive vicious fatal attacks that they have no business survivng. i knew sean would have somehow managed to survive, so wasn't as shocking as you would think.

i actually thought it was a strong one because that's how the first season ended also, at the dinner table. i feel that giant cliffhangers are cheap (sometimes, the craver/christain ending was well played)

Of course we knew Sean would survive. Just like we knew Christian would survive the Carver's attack at the end of season 2.

It's not the point. It was ending with something exciting happening, and all the possible reprecussions that could happen afterwards. It's why I was disappointed that Colleen was killed off like 2 minutes after she stabbed Sean in the next episode.

This series has not ended many seasons with giant cliffhangers. Only season 2 and 5 ended on a cliffhanger.

I know that the series will end with one last dinner table scene!

i think it will just be sean and christain at that table and no one else. similar to christian's birthday cupcake scene.

it will be lonely, no one will love them, all they end up with in the end is each other.

I heard Julia is at the final dinner table scene.

I think it's the whole family. similar to the dinner scene table at the end of season 2 I think.

season 1 you mean.

i see. i felt that the more proper ending would have been that those two mess up everything they have, and they end up together since they are two of a kind and no one will ever be friends with them

i feel the whole family is too much of a happy ending and wouldn't really fit the show. ah well. art is interpretive i suppose.

No, he means season 2. There was a family dinner scene intercut with the scene where Ava's son kills himself in front of her.

so I saw Gallardo (who was my favorite supporting character ever) but I thought he was gator chow??

Its gonna be the hallucination of Escobar. Id love to see Merrill again I always loved seeing him get **** on

Yea I know that **** was hilarious. Id still love to see him again. I dunno what was funnier the prison ***** part or him being addicted to nitrous or whatever the hell it was he was huffin

I loved Merril. I'm glad at least Ava is coming back, but I'd love to see some of the other screwballs showing up

I think the series finale will be March 3rd or March 10th. Not sure which one.

Wow, the writers really are intent on making Christian the destructive force in Sean's life. I think i've lost all sympathy for the character. Poor Sean man, Christian completely ruined him.

Yeah, after watching last night's episode, it seems that Christian has been obsessed with Sean from the beginning. Perhaps he sees the good in him and wants to corrupt him, or co-opt it for himself, or just be around it because he knows he's not good, or as skilled. I never quite got that impression before. It seemed like they needed each other, but this season, it seems like Christian is far more desperate to keep Sean in his life, but at the same time, Christian's presence is so destructive. I don't know if there's any redemption for the Christian character. In season's past, I always got a sense that he could be redeemed no matter what he did. And there have been a few flashes this past year, with him giving the money to the abused victim and he still seems to be a good father to Wilbur, and he's trying to be in Matt's corner to some extent, but he's been terrible for Sean.

I've always thought that...I think Christian knows he's self destructive and way way way down in there is a good person, but he needs Sean around to remind him to be a good person
