Haha, I saw that. It's so not going to be. Unless they change Link into Zelda to actually make it the Legend of Zelda.

In theory, I'm fine with a female Link. But saying this might be a female because he looks feminine is pretty dumb. Link is always young, which makes him look rather androgynous.

While the trailer is definitely promising, I do wonder how representative this will be of the final product. It felt very much like a tech demo, not an actual trailer or teaser for a game.

Compare this to say the teaser for Twilight Princess.

I still remember Spaceworld.
I think this is representative of the final product. It's far too stylized for some tech demo and Nintendo has already done the whole Zelda tech demo for the Wii U to show off it's graphical capabilities.

It looks like a good blend of the Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword graphics. Really looks like they took the best of both and smushed them together.

The clothing pattern is reminiscent of Ganondorf's OoT outfit.

Ya. It's been over 11 years since I've played it. So I figured what the heck?

Yeah, I enjoyed rediscovering it. They did some tweaks, too. That last Triforce quest has been cut down a lot, though it still drags on forever.

Don't forget about the Digital Deluxe Promotion. Downloading Wind Waker got you 499 points, and with 500 you get a redeemable $5 credit for eShop purchases. You can check that here if you were unaware.

Damn..If we play as Gannondorf (before corruption) that would be bad ass.

I'm sure it's not a coincidence. But it could just be the art team having fun. They reuse elements of various designs.

Or, perhaps this character has some Gerudo affiliation.

Oh God, all the fan theories are coming already.

Was there ever actually a Gannondort that wasn't corrupt? I thought Skyward Sword established that the corruption was part of the reincarnation cycle from what's his face. Am I mistaken?

It's probably just a nod to Wind Waker, since it mirrors Link's pajama design in that. Or it is a just a a coincidence. I've never bought that Nintendo puts half the thought into Zelda's story and canon as most fans seem to.

Nice thank you!

Possibly. I didn't finish Skyward Sword. Easily my least favorite Zelda title (mostly due to the damn Wiimote. I couldn't get used to it.)

I have no doubt that they put a lot of thought into this design, even if only to make fans speculate like hell.

Aonuma's comment has me more interested than Gerudo pajamas though, but since no one else has noted the pattern, I thought I'd bring it up.

I beat Skyward Sword, but I would say it's just above "The Adventures of Link aka Zelda II". It really dropped the ball in some ways. I just felt the world was really....bland.

My list for primary Zelda's:

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
The Legend of Zelda
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
The Legend of Zelda: The Skyward Sword
The Adventures of Link

To me all are awesome, but the Skyward Sword/Adventures of Link were just "okay".

The thing that saved Skyward Sword for me was the design. I loved loved loved the colors they used. I'm also one of the few people who loved the motion controls.

The story and limited world were big negatives.

I love The Adventure of Link, but it feels so much like it's own thing, I hardly count it with the other Zelda title.

There are actually an interesting throwback (callbacks) to Zelda II in Skyward Sword.
