I really wouldn't be surprised if there's no subtitle.

Ocarina of Time really took Zelda to a new level for me.

It had a grandness to it that no Zelda game has really gotten close to. But going from 2D to 3D was such a damn leap, and it was executed extremely well.

I don't know why, but I had so many emotions playing Ocarina. No other game has got me like that before

I think a big part of it was the jump from 2D to 3D. Hyrule actually felt real to me. You had the incredible scope, the great cutscenes (which I had never seen before in a game, at least not like that), the incredible soundtrack and really solid gameplay. Also helps to be a kid as well of course.

On the other hand Mario 64 while a really good game didn't leave as much an impression on me. World is still my favorite.

You should see the crying compilation for those playing The Walking Dead :o

In honesty, OOC was THE perfect adventure game. It filled with me with so many feelings. It gave a lot to the player and it's true, there's no other game like it and I doubt there ever will be. It was one of a kind.

Until Majora's Mask came out.

It improved upon a few elements. But I wouldn't say it was better in terms of structure and story. OOT was about you, a boy, trying to stop an evil tyrant from taking over the world. Along the way, you'd meet all sorts of characters and creatures, exploring new and dangerous territories Eventually, you became a man and grew in your skills. There was a certain charm to it and everything within that game aided the experience. It is definitely the most unique game of the series.

Well, along with Zelda II anyway.

Yeah. Just because Zelda II and Mario 2 did not follow the traditional formula, doesn't make them bad games.

I'm kind of surprised no one has advocated for the RPG elements of Zelda II to return.

I like Zelda II.

Not love, but like.

Perhaps, because I find it infuriatingly difficult!

And yes, I wouldn't mind the RPG elements to make a return.

I really wouldn't be surprised if there's no subtitle.

I would hate if they just called it the legend of Zelda wii u has it is just so uncreative or if the just called it the legend of Zelda has it just sounds so plain and the first Zelda was called that.

Uncreative titles seem to be Nintendo's bread and butter right now. I never would have thought they'd give Smash such a lame ass title, or the New 3DS, but there they are.

Do we really know anything about this game though? So far everything we have seen feels like a tech demo to me. It all looks great, but there hasn't been an indication of any sort of plot, or new characters. Even the setting has just been an unnamed field.

That's all they've shown.

So a subtitle seems premature. Or perhaps overdue, as well as other things, like concept art.

I agree that TP needs it the most. So question when did we get Ocarina of time on 3ds and wind waker HD? With getting Time on 3ds then wind waker HD on wii u and now MM on 3ds kind of makes you think that the next remake will be on wii u or something has it kind of looks like they are flip flooping form remakes on handhelds and conserles. Trying to judge based of those 3 remakes when we may see the next one lol.

I honestly can't think of a time when Zelda (or any game, for that matter) was revealed and not have its subtitle revealed at the same time. We've seen subs dropped or altered, but usually they are announced at the same time of the reveal.

I think it's becoming clear that Nintendo is bucking the trend of announcing and showing games insanely early, even big titles. Considering how this title has been worked on for roughly 4-5 years (if what they say about it going into early stages directly after Skyward Sword is true, anyway), I think it's farther ahead than most suspect. I may be wrong, but my expectation is that they've intentionally held a lot back, just giving little tidbits here and there, specifically for this E3. May be wrong, though, we'll see pretty soon, I guess.

OOT 3D was released in 2011, WW HD was 2013. There's no flip flopping going on, I don't know what exactly you're trying to say there. The 3DS had OOT (as well as Starfox 64), so it's obvious that Majora's Mask would go there since a HD remaster isn't feasible and it already had precedent due to those previous titles. As mentioned before, Twilight Princess would be the next in line, logically speaking. My predication is we'll see it next year at some point, along with Hyrule Warriors 2 and a new original mainline Zelda for the 3DS for the 30th anniversary year.

Yeah I cant really think of a time when subtitles where not revealed at the same time either and it dose sound like Nintendo dose like to reveal things late. I mean they didn't even reveal MM 3ds in till like a month before the game comes out and we are only about 3 or so months form splatoon and we just got the may has before that all that was said was quarter 2. I think DKTF didn't have a date in till pretty close to when it came out has while plus I know it got deyalnd. Yeah it was said they almost showed Zelda at E3 2013 so that kind of makes me think that even though we don't know a lot about it that it must be pretty fair into development if they almost showed something like a year and 7 months or so ago.

What I was saying was the first Zelda remake was for 3ds then we had a wii u one in wind waker and now MM for 3ds again so that is what I mean by flip flopping. Each 2 years apart with OOT 2011, Wind waker HD 2013 and MM 2015 so maybe that means we will get TP HD in 2017 then. I always prefer remakes for conserles has I am not big into handhelds plus I would rather it be on the wii u so that way we get the remake in HD. Why would MM not be fesable on wii u? Yeah it wouldn't surprised me if they did a Hyrule warries 2 has I no it sold behold what they thought it would and yeah with next year being 30 years I could see them coming out with a new Zelda game on 3ds. That was part of why I have been thinking that Zelda wii u would maybe come out next year in stead of this year because of next year being the 30 years.

Majora's Mask HD isn't feasible because of the polygon count being too low to be upscaled to the that resolution. That's one of the reasons you've never seen PS1, N64, or Sega Saturn era titles as HD remasters. You'd basically have to remake the whole game from the ground up, which is just as much work as making a new game.

But no, I don't think Zelda U will get delayed in 2016 for the 30th anniversary. Like Smash, I think they're going to be throwing everything at it to get it ready for this year, they need a big holiday title, and while I think titles like Xenoblade and Devil's Third are also possible to hit around that time will be fine titles, they aren't the big title you want to have around then. I'll be really surprised if it gets pushed back.

And I think Twilight Princess HD will be 2016. They've already done some basic test work on it they've said, and it was stated that Wind Waker took less than six months to finish. I expect that they'll jump right onto TP HD after Zelda U, if they don't already have a small group working on it already.

Oh yeah I don't really no how many polygons MM was and how that compares to the games of today and I don't really now how much work or how it works to remake a game in HD. Yeah Xenoblade dose look pretty cool the game world just looks massive but yeah its not a hugh franchise like Zelda and with the wii u not saleing great it would probly hurt if they had to push Zelda back even though that would make it 30 years. Yeah I heard that about WW HD not taking much time and yeah they may already have a few people working on TP and after Zelda wii u comes out they may then have those people join in on TP HD. Would the annoce TP HD this year though? I would think that they may weight to next year to annoce it because I don't know if they want to annnoce it before Zelda wii u comes out.
