I do remember a lot of people whining in 2000 how hard it was, and how the timer stressed them out. ****ing cry babies.

While I'm glad MM is selling so well it's disheartening to see it completely outsell A Link Between Worlds. That game was great and this just gives Nintendo more incentive to do remakes rather than create original games.

I just wish Nintendo would do a new 3D Zelda game for the handheld. 3D as in like Ocarina of Time / Majora's Mask.

Or now with the hardware upgrade, Twilight Princess.

Eh, I love MM, but I'll be the first to admit it's probably the least...accessible, I guess, game in the series since the first two. There's a real obtuseness to how the game is presented and designed. It took me awhile, myself, to really warm up to it. Especially the idea of the timer, I've always hated timed missions of any kind in games. I did eventually get used to it.

We already get those on consoles. It'd be a shame for the top down Zeldas to disappear. It's a great way to distinguish mainline console and mainline handheld titles as well.

For me it was love at first sight. Granted, I actually played the demo first (they had it in some stores), which I don't think had a timer.

I don't think top down Zelda games will ever disappear.

They will if they start making the handheld games in the vein of console 3D titles. We only get two mainline, non-remakes a console generation at max, so there's not a lot of wiggle room.

I am surprised Nintendo hasn't taken more advantage of the Wii U, and released a budget top down Zelda game.

They haven't released an original top down Zelda on a console since the SNES. They've never really done a budget Zelda title that I'm aware of, except maybe that Crossbow game on the Wii. I'm not sure how plausiable the idea is, a lot of work goes into the top down games as well, unless you just mean a super short Zelda game.

EDIT: I take that back, I guess there was Four Swords for GCN, but I can't remember if it was a port job of the GBA game or not?

So, the final Hyrule Warriors DLC will hit NA on March 12th. I still need to finish the main game.

Four Swords Adventure was an original game on the GCN. Four Swords was the bonus game that came with the GBA port of LTTP.

Playing as Ganon will be fun.

Also, hopefully the Boss Challenge is a good way to get boss monster materials. stupid Argorok Embers...

I'm only four missions deep, but I'm kind of loving Hyrule Warriors so far.

I have forgotten a good deal of Majora's Mask, though I remember the first boss was a lot different in the original N64 version. I can't remember if I got all the masks before, I can't really remember how to get them all either.

It saddens me there hasn't been a Zelda on consoles worth playing since Wind Waker. Hopefully the new game will change that.

Wind Waker HD maybe.
I did in fact pick that up. Was pleased that the game held up pretty darn well. It just kills me how the Wii-mote just made Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword chores to play.

Same. Of all the Zelda games I'd want remade it'd be Skyward Sword with NO motion controls. I liked the art style and story, but those controls....:cmad:

I would've preferred a traditional control option for SS, but honestly, I played through it fine. I don't know, I don't really like motion controls but I can tolerate them fine when they're alright.

Stupid motion control? Yeah, you're right. I can't deal with that crap.

Twilight Princess is my favorite Zelda game. Yes, over OOT. I just loved it. Skyward Sword was great too, didn't mind the motion controls at all.
