Picking the A's to win the west was dumb. I know I was trying to believe in that pitching staff but they simply cannot hit.

Did you see my crappy team beat your crappy team tonight?

I saw crappy bullpen decisions leading to your crappy team beating my crappy team, yes.

I know I don't post here much cause I go to other boards...but 12-6 Florida Marlins. And what is scary...Hanley and Stanton still in a slump. Infante ain't hitting well either so far.

I'm loving Starlin Castro right now. Went 4-5 today with a bunch of runs scored and a few RBIs. Hitting 393/419/523 as a 21 year old shortstop. My fantasy ***** is pleased.

Alright ... I'm officially waiting and hoping for an Ozzie nuclear moment. The Sox offense is completely dead.

Hey so lets talk about the Marlins. They're doing pretty good right?

my condolences :woot:.

i actually played in their oganization for two years, up until a little over a month ago when i got my release. so i'm allowed to hate :cwink:. but if its any consolation, there are some good young players coming up through the organization. keep your eyes on Cory Vaughn and Darrell Ceciliani. played with them in brooklyn last summer. two good young outfielders that can hit
Damn that's pretty cool you were there with them in their system, I'm jealous. :woot:

They also have some promising electric arms coming up. It's just a waiting game now.

But yeah no matter how bad it gets with the Mets I've always been there behind them, I have never left them I've been a die hard fan since the Doc Gooden years. :awesome:

Getting swept by the Mets is pathetic but not completely out of the question with this D-Backs team. But Christ almighty, I really wish most of their starters weren't "fly-ball, pitch to contact guys with mediocre stuff" because having a rotation chock full of them doesn't bode well for sustained success.

If you've been a fan that long then you will know who Wally Backman is. He was my manager last summer. Guy is an absolute riot! Great manager as well. He was actually in the running for the Mets manager position that eventually went to Terry Collins. We all thought he was going to get it, but I guess things did not fall his way

a W is a W...but it still is the Dbacks, so I won't get too hopeful

Beating up Enright or Galarraga isn't that noteworthy, but some offense is better than no offense. I'm glad to see Pridie get a homer, AZ represent or whatever.

Wally Backman will forever be known to me as the D-Backs manager who held his position for all of 2 days it seems like.

a W is a W...
That's my motto. :woot:

I was pulling for him or Chip Hale to win the Mets job, but hey maybe next time around.

If it's any consolation, this is probably the only series the Mets will sweep all season.
