Keep divisions, keep Marlins in NL, add another wild card team and have the two wild cards battle it out in a single playoff or best of 3 series. End of story.

Not really sure what the Divisional format does any more other than insure geographically diverse representation in the playoffs? Think about it. And dont give me the "rivalry" talk either. Yanks/Sox isnt any less of a rivalry if they play say 10-12 times a year as opposed to the currently ridiculous 18 times.

it won't happen because the IOC is notoriously anti-American....they got rid of softball because we were owning everyone, same with baseball

Spot on. A recent chat with a friend about the college softball tournament led into how the Olympics ended softball after 2008. She didn't realize they had done so and asked why, I said because the United States had won the gold 3 times in four Olympic years.

Anything we're consistently the best at, they will eventually eliminate. Except hoops, way too popular.

Vlad- 6 walks in 60 games
Recently called up Padre Anthony Rizzo- 6 walks in 5 games

Mets wins consecutive series vs the Braves wow! I couldn't say that in the past, ever. :D

That Moneyball movie looks good, I'm in.

Moneyball looks good...It's a Aaron Sorkin script. The dude made Facebook story interesting, I am sure this will be just a awesome

I fear it will be too much of a Billy Beane biopic which the book wasn't about at all.

He seems to like taking on ideas that no one puts stock into and churn out an award winning film, maybe he's the Billy Beane of Hollywood.

Not sure I buy Jonah Hill as Paul DePodesta, but I'll give it a shot. Pitt typically does pretty good movies these days.

Paul DePodesta didn't want his name or likeness to be used, so they made him short, fat, and called him Peter Brand.

So, Edwin Rodriguez has stepped down as Marlins manager and Jack McKeon, now 80, will take over for him. Lolwut?

Me and the 11 people who show up for games are at a loss for words.

He's going to motivate the players by giving them Werther's Originals and regale them with tales of when he and Cap Anson and Honus Wagner used to go "chasing skirts."

Jack McKeon??...they serious?

The man is so old, how is he going to be able to travel with the team?

In an airplane? LOL what?

He's 80, not dead. And I'm sure the Marlins will supply him with Depends if need be.

McKeon? What's he going to do, wave his cane at the youngsters who don't get a hit?

He's already benched Hanley Ramirez for showing up late. And people called Reyes undisciplined.

I heard he needed a oxygen tank during his press conference :D
