This is hysterical, MLB couldn't have scripted this better.

This has to be the most insane night of baseball I've ever watched... :wow:

(and it was awesome!)

It makes it even more funny when they happened within just minutes of each other. Red Sox think they still have hope if the Yankees can win but nope Longoria crushes it.

I'm a Yanks fan and my gf is from St. Pete, so I rooted for the Rays the whole time obviously. What a glorious night. Now bring on October baseball.

How much funnier is this commercial now? :funny:

It was truly like something out of a movie. 7 run comeback, complete with the tying run in the 9th with one strike left, only to have their rivals give up the win with one strike left....and then to win right after the BosSox lose....Hollywood could not do it better.

:lmao: I've never seen that commercial. Hilarious.

At any rate, go Rays! I love seeing small market teams win as it is a big old middle finger to Bob Nutting and his excuses.

2004 is still the biggest choke job in professional sports.

Love what I am coming across online lol

Is the Curse of the Bambino showing some sings of life after being killed in 2004.

Nope, Red Sox didn't have a 3-0 lead in that World Series.

It was the final out and the last ball of game 6.

The ball dribbled right through Bucker, a ball that would have ended that World Series. Fate had something else to say right there.

You are everything anti-yankees, so no point in stating this to you.

What do others feel?
1986 or 2004? Which was worse?

As a yanks fan, 2001 was worse for us IMO, so between those two, 1986.

Hard for me to say since I wasn't born yet in 1986, just read/heard stories and seen the footage. Wasn't there to experience it first hand.

Wrong. The game was already tied when Buckner booted the ball on Stanley's wild pitch. If Buckner fielded it and beat Wilson to first (doubtful), the game would have just gone to the 11th.

2004. Ultimately 86 was a single play by one guy. 04 was four games of total team choke artistry.

"The Giants won the pennant! The Giants won the pennant!"

I'd love to see a Cardinals/Yankees series.
