Cant wait to see the latest addition to the group of high-priced busts the Rangers have signed. Bure, Jagr, Redden, Gomez, Drury, Gaborik, etc., etc. ,etc.

You're a joke. Montreal is a beautiful city.

Hey I love the City of Montreal, it is beautiful.
Especially all those strip joints.

But the fact they are wasting police time is a joke.

Nobody is above the law. Crimes can happen anywhere, including on the field or ice. They're just doing their job and they just want to talk with him, it's not a big deal.

It wasn't a crime though and the league can police it's own employees.

I'm sure the police with gather that and everyone will move on.

and the league sucks at policing it's own employees.

I agree but in Chara's defense he was on the job just doing his job albeit rather incorrectly but doing it none the less.

Yes they do. See Alex Burrows.

See Alex Burrows? lol You're hilarious buddy.

You actually think Burrows biting and hair pulling is in the same ball park as breaking a guys neck with reckless play?

I never said it was in the same ballpark. Heck I never said it was in the same league. It ain't even the same ****in sport!

Just making your point about the league not being able to police itself.

So basically every time an athlete gets hurt the police should be involved is what you are saying? Guy got hurt because of where the hit occurred on the ice.

This wasn't Bertuzzi jumping Moore or McSorley treating Brashears head like a pinata. All I was saying about this is that the police looking into it (still) is a joke. It's a waste of time and Canadian tax dollars that could instead be spent on something important.

On another note. Mark Howe elected to the HHOF?

Who made up the Selection Committee? Gordie and Marty?

Then why did you even mention his name? We're talking about Chara's reckless play, not Burrows biting someone finger and getting away with it.

I was making your point. Burrows should have gotten something and the league let it go. Hence, they can't police it's own employees.

Well your point sucks. Chara would have been a better example. Reckless hit, no suspension? Bad policing in my books.

The Burrows/Bergeron incident was nothing.

Like I said, that injury was a result of where the hit took place. If that hit occurred any other place in the rink, he would have popped up no problem.

You can go back to lighting cop cars on fire now.

Some people believe Chara knew that and took advantage of the situation.

Aww, did the sudden realization that your argument totally sucked make you upset?

Next time you decide to open your trap about players "getting away with things" just make sure someone was actually hurt in the incident.

Christ sakes, you are a whiney one aren't ya? All I did was agree with your point that the league can't police itself.

But regardless of me choosing Burrow's as an example of the league's failure to be able to police it's players, the lack of suspension didn't have any bearing on the outcome of the series.

Woah Woah Woah Boys! It's all good. Lets calm down.

SO anyone see a FA there team could use?

I'm curious to see if Philly is going to drop a huge offer sheet on the lap of Steven Stamkos. I wouldn't put it past them. They've stocked up on some draft picks and shed payroll.

And yes that conversation pulled one of these about 5 posts back.

I'd love to see The Blues throw an offer at Stamkos but we have ownership problems and prolly will get some guy who used to be good and will just be injury prone his entire tenure here (Paul Karyia).

They could. But unfort. for what they can spend it wouldn't be enough. Hey I'd love the B's have savard retire and take that $$ and reinvest now. But keep some room for a trade line deal. Thank god the Bruins have most of the team minus kaberle and ryder as UFA's and Marchand as RFA. Marchand will be back. I hope. God knows ever other team would want him.

Hmmm..I have this nagging feeling that Jagr will sign with the Pens..I have no idea how decent he'll be as a player, but I betcha he signs a 1-year somethin'..with 'em.

I think Richards will sign with the Rangers as well - they have the deep pockets and it sounds like he's looking for a big payday...can't think of who else better than NY's richest...

My team is the Avalanche and I have a hunch we're going to sign Voukun for next year. I don't have an ounce of facts to back this up..but I am feelin' it. However, I think we will also be needing a back-up goalie and I'm not sure who would be the right person for the job..so I'd be up for some suggestions on that...

Pittsburgh has openly said that they've tendered an offer to Jagr that is pretty much take or leave, so I guess it's up to him now if he wants to play there or not. Supposedly, he'll be announcing tomorrow.

Malkin-Crosby-Jagr on the PP? Destructive!

Oh, and peace out Erhoff. I wish you all the best getting a ton of money on some team desperate to plug a hole. Please don't sign with Boston. I guess this is good news for Ballard, he'll have a chance to show what he's got for sure now.

I'm just hoping the Oilers can sign one of, if not both Ben Eager and Zenon Konopka. We need to get tougher as a team, with guys that can play more then 3 minutes a night. Some veteran defensemen wouldn't hurt either.

As for the big names, I'll say Richards to NYR, Erhoff to Detroit, Jagr to Pittsburgh and Vokoun to Colorado.

I dunno about Ehrhoff to the Wings..I think its possible that the Isles might actually sign him, although I don't know where they sit exactly in relation to the Cap. If not the Isles I think he might sign with someone back east..although as to who...I dunno!
