No, they're not. He said he wanted teams in the playoffs that weren't last year but the Rays were.

I read report that Marlins expect payroll of roughly 80 million, another said 100 million. Fans are all like...personally, I think this is gonna be interesting off season. I'll be happy if CJ Wilson and Vazquez sign with team. Nolasco may be trade bait I read.

JJ
Wilson
Animal
Vazquez

That a good 1-4 SP if JJ is healthy and Vazquez pitches like he has since about mid season this year.

I'm watching Mark Buehrle pitch tonight ... I hope it's not his last in a White Sox uniform. He's definitely one of the most classy guys I've watched play for the Sox.

I can't believe how back and forth these games are going, all of sudden Cardinals tie from 5 down and Rays are leading 5-3.

So the Angels are practically putting out a AAA lineup today and tomorrow. Santana and Weaver scratched.

Are they helping out Texas to clinch home-field over the Tigers, still bitter about the crap Weaver started two months ago?

Angels just don't care now since they blew their chance, why not let some of the AAA guys play. Makes no difference to them if Tiger or Rangers get better record.

Yeah they really don't care dude. Weaver and Santana had already thrown more innings this year than they ever had before and there's really no point to having them throw more. Besides, they have much deeper issues with the Rangers then Guillen's hissy fit.

You really need to get over that ****. You're the only one who still cares.

Catching Hell is really good....didn't know Bartman is still living in Chicago

I am, haha. I just think it's funny how everyone puts the blame on Guillen.

I would have loved to have played them again in the playoffs.

Yeah, Cubs fans are weird. They blame their team's epic collapse in 1.5 games on one dude catching a foul ball? Alou wouldn't have made that catch either way.

Cubs fans are just crazy.

If you want a more positive way to look at it, by not starting Weaver, they are essentially handing Verlander the ERA crown.

Alou has pretty much admitted as much in recent years. He overreacted, had a meltdown and the team followed ...

Gonzalez is the one that really opened the flood gates. He does owe Bartman.

Dusty Baker needed to come out after that happened and settle the team down.

Well if he throws Weaver in for one shutout inning, he gets the ERA crown. :cwink:

Man I cannot wait for the Playoffs...
Its been fun watching the Rangers all year...Hope they can continue their success in the Playoffs :)

Ending the season on this note is just icing on the cake...

Verlander has achieved the triple crown this year. Not as big a deal for a hitter but still quite a accomplishment. I think Kershaw has done the same in the NL. Even if he's tied for wins with Kennedy it still counts.

If Tuesday was indeed Javier Vazquez's final game, he went out with a bang. CG 2 runs, 2 earned, walked 0, struck out 9, 5 hits. 13-11 on the year...3.69 ERA. Petersen walked off with a line drive homer with 2 outs bottom 9th.

Vazquez ends year winning his last 6 starts, throwing CG's in his last 2 out of 3 starts. Passed the 2,500 K mark this year. What a rebound and he may win September NL pitcher of the month. 5-0 this month, 0.60ERA...Oh My Gawd. And he set the all time Marlins consecutive scoreless innings pitched record.

Vaz said by December or sooner he'll decide. He was gonna go out and pitch the 10th, too. 97 pitches was all he threw before Petersen walked off.
