Ok.

Does shoving "Diamondbacks" on the uniform make more sense then?

Why'd they ever change the uniforms?

The purple was different...The new uniforms look like every other one and sort unoriginal.

I think he meant in that Cliff Lee for the past 2 years has been on the losing side of the World Series.

I was referring to his post about being afraid of the Yankees more than the Tigers. The Rangers just beat the Rays who had the best rotation of the AL teams.

Lol definitely not at all...tbh

Come on...I thought AJ Burnett's tattoos would strike fear into the Arlington faithful and Rangers lineup.

Btw, what a solid pick up Beltre has been...Another blunder by the sawx

Letting Beltre go wasn't a mistake. Their option was Beltre and Youkilis or Youkilis and Gonzalez. Gonzalez outperformed Beltre and he doesn't have the reputation of only playing well in contract years.

If there's any team that should regret not signing Beltre it's the Angels.

True, they got the bargain of the year. Vernon Wells. :o

Hey, they only have to pay $81M of the $86M left on his contract. That is a bargain.

Have you ever been to the Trop in St. Pete? Imagine baseball played in the SuperDome before the renovations, and that's pretty close to the experience. And the fact that both games were played at 2:00 in the afternoon on week day probably didnt help matters either.

Build a decent ballpark, that doesnt feel like the ThunderDome (yes, I'm aware it was once actually named that) and they'll get people to come out. If the freaking NHL can do well in Tampa, there's no reason baseball can't.

I wanted him badly for the Tigers. I cant stand Brandon Inge or Wilson Beatyourmeat.

Isn't where the Rays play, not really in the most accessible places of Tampa? Also, isn't it common knowledge that most Florida sports suffer because of all the transplants?

Their stadium is actually in St. Pete and from what I remember ( I was last there about 15 years ago, and it was a dump then) it in fact was a bit of a pain to get to.

As for Florida sports, to some extent that's correct. The only ones seemingly exempt from that are the Dolphins. Then again pretty much all of their teams, except the Dolphins and Bucs, only came into existence in the late 1980's- early 1990's, so you've really only got one generation of fans that go to the games at this point.

I know Pittsburgh would fire every single Pirate if they could have everyone from the Rays and they'd probably fill the stadium frequently.

Carpenter and Halladay in Game 5 on Friday. I'll have to watch that.

This is the first time since 2001 that 3 divison series went to game 5.

Nova throwing meatballs down the middle...great job nova

That was certainly a quick hook. But I guess why not since there are a lot of fresh arms.

"When 2 lefties are coming up to bat, bring in a righty reliever." -Jim Leyland

His stupid decision only cost them 1 run.
