Banshee is so important, you take that back. :cmad:

(Sorry, Generation X made me a fan of that character.)

Well, I like him, at least more than that daughter of his, but he's the only one who had a history ,was currently deceased X-Man (I'm not counting Jean, cause in a way, she isn't really dead) and important enough to be used. Sorry if that assumption upsets you.

Loved Banshee, loved Forge. In fact although Beast (the one who fights and jokes, not the current "Henry" who doesnt even crouch down or hang from stuff anymore) and Iceman are my favourite X-Men ever, I think maybe the line-up from just before the creation of the first blue and gold teams is the best EVER.

Banshee, Forge, Gambit, Psylocke, Wolverine, Storm, Jubliee (I think).

It's a shame Banshee and Forge are dead, Gambit is whipped, Jubilee lost her powers, and Storm doesn't do much of anything in the 3 comics she shows up in.

Its more of a shame Banshee and Forge died just after each of them was screwed over beyond belief (a drunk and an insane engineer respectively) and the newer characters forever present we have to make do with in their absence are Pixie and Armour

There's a lot more Pixie than Armor in the X-books, these days. You don't really see Armor outside of Astonishing X-Men, Matt Fraction's "Armor sits in the petal position until Pixie can save her" scene not withstanding.

i really wish we would be seeing more of Armor. the way Whedon left her it really seemed like shes going to be Wolverine's next sidekick. that last scene in the danger room, and their scenes on Breakworld were great.

A lot of Whedon's stuff has been ignored since his departure. It was only recently announced that Beast will be in an upcoming SWORD comic, despite Whedon's run ending with him already working for SWORD. Beast and Brand's relationship has only been written by Ellis since. Armor has been relegated to "Pixie's roommate" in Uncanny X-Men. Colossus isn't ruling Breakworld like at the end of "Unstoppable."

But hey, Kitty's still dead. :csad:

that i dont remember. and i thought that prophecy didn't true because of his actions ( but i dont think i was really clear what was happening with lady in that room to begin with).

technically isnt she still alive...

Giant Size AXM showed Beast and Brand standing together at some facility with Beast wearing a lab coat (she had previously propositioned him for a job [and teh secks]).

Colossus beat Kruun and effectively took over Breakworld. The prophecy was that he would destroy it.

Kitty might as well be dead until the editors allow a writer to come along and bring her back.

kitty can stay gone forever and ever and i wouldnt miss her...especially since there seems to be plenty of characters with similar powers now

technically she's dead until some writer writes her coming back

Though in all possibility she is likely to be picked up by something or someone already.

I assume so. It was basically the power of a sun that hit his lab, and we never saw him try to escape.

Then again, he's an X-Men character, and there was no body to be found. So he can come back at any time.

Yep, the X-Men left him behind because Storm said he was dead already, because she dumped him ages ago.

The X-Men also pretended they didnt believe him just before they blew him up, just so they could chop his leg off for being crazy.

The end of that story made little to no sense (and this is from someone whos liked Astonishing)

...though he did die right next to an interdimensional transporter, make of that what you will. Also having a personal transporter on him really wouldnt be any stretch of the imagination for Forge.

It's strange, really. That conclusion was obviously rushed, but it's not like Ellis to suddenly end a story like that. It's like he either didn't realize that he decompressed the story too much and couldn't fit it all into the 6 issues he had planned, he was planning a giant-sized 6th issue that they wouldn't let him have, or he wanted to keep the story going into the next story arc but was told "no" by the editors.

Cipher and Loa?

that's plenty.

then there is that Trance chick, but i dont think she is similar to kitty at all now that i think about it...except she can go ghost..or something.

and if psylocke remembers her crimson dawn powers...

Trance needs to leave her unconscious physical body behind to become a ghost. Even then, I think her ghost is more similar to Chamber (sans human body) than an actual ghost.

Thanks guys for the heads up it shows how much Astonishing has failed me that a I couldn't remember SWORD blowing the place up and b it was the end of the arc I think there are 6 comics in need of recycling now.

Just read Unstoppable again, so part of the reason Brand likes Hank is because her father was a blue-furry beastas well?

She really is creepy.
