What're your thoughts on Whedon really taking over Runaways?

Why do you care so much about my opinion on the matter?

Anyway, I'm happy to hear it. I like Whedon's style, and I'll be even happier if he can keep a monthly schedule. However, I'm way behind in Runaways. It's a book I read in trade/digest form, and I last left off when Cloak took them to New York to clear his name. Are they ever planning to release a volume 6, or will I be forced to hunt down backissues?

As interesting as that looks, it kinda reminded me of how House of M first started. Hopefully, there's more to this.

Random side note: Does Kitty really need to go through labor pains? Can't she just phase that baby out of her?

It's good news that Whedon is taking on Runaways, but the more important and pressing issue is WHO IS TAKING OVER ASTONISHING WHEN HE LEAVES?

Is it wishful thinking that BKV would take over?

I dunno. There's been some buzz about Greg Pak doing it, but I wouldn't really want that, honestly. Other than that, Marvel really can't afford a major drop-off in quality, so they're gonna need a high profile writer to take over, or at least a well liked X-writer.

Greg Pak would be awesome. I hope whoever does it changes up the roster a bit too.

I think my big issue with Pak is that he wrote Endsong, and now Warsong, neither of which I have any tolerance for. Maybe if wrote an actual story and not a gimmick, I'd be more for it. There's a decent chance I'll stop following the book when Whedon leaves anyway, though, so I guess it ultimately doesn't matter.

Pak is writing an awesome story over in Hulk. A story that made me actually like a Hulk, that wasn't Jennifer Walters. He's not just merely a one shot gimmick writer.

Yeah I got that feeling too, and it made me wonder "What if this whole perfection/emma/hellfire thing is just bait and switch and it's just been Cassandra all along. Cassandra in Genosha, Cassandra pulling the nightmares out of Emma's head and making them real. I was remembering in #13 when Cassandra says something to Emma about being "bush league" when it comes to psychics: yes thats true, I doubt Emma/Perfection could ever acheive the level of 'mind-****s' that have been occuring lately, but Cassandra certainly could. Also, the Manger? Could hold a cloned body of Xavier where Cassandra can transfer her consciousness (I'm remembering something about her being a disembodied consciousness at the end of Morrisons NXM)

When Wheadon leaves is Cassidy leaving also?? If Cassidy leaves too then I hope Salvador Larocca takes over

Cassady is leaving as well. The only way I would wanna see Larrocca take over is if he drew it like he drew the first few issues of X-Treme, with the same coloring and all. I didn't like his style when he changed it after that.
