I have to track down Runaways digests now that Whedon will be headed over there. I always wanted to get them, but kept putting it off. Not much choice now, though.
Get them, if you can. Read it from the beginning. I can guarantee you that you won't regret it if you do. Especially now that Whedon is taking over Runaways. All the more reason why.

Forget Whedon, you should have been reading that book all along!

^Agreed!

You won't be disappointed :D

Yeah, I almost didn't believe that two AXMs were coming out so quickly.

Just sit back and enjoy :) It's both surprising and fabulous!

Yeah, I was slacking on comics in general during the AXM hiatus. I just now started buying a few regularly again, but never jumped on the Runaways bandwagon.

Runaways is one of my absolute favorites. Trust me, it will be money very well spent! :)

Ah yes, should've mentioned that. If you get into Runaways, there's a Runaways/YA crossover going on right now. It's really good. YA is great by itself as well.

Astonishing X-Men, Uncanny X-men and the marvel selects which has a few different x-men comics into one issue, like Endsong, Deadly Genesis, House of M.

X-Factor! :D

and X-Men, Carey's run is pretty good too. New Excalibur and Exiles can be fun as well.

im also interested in the previous issues of X-men dating back to when X-men was created in 1940

You're better off buying a trade for those... the ones printed on pulp paper are really cheap (like $20 for a billion issues at Chapters - they're called "Essential X-Men"), but aren't in colour. Or if you have a great display screen (at least 17" flat screen I'd say) , you could get them on DVD-ROM. (it's called 40 Years of X-Men or something)

there are a lot of big events made into trade paperbacks available from Chapters online... you can find more at a comic book store but they don't adjust for the current exchange rates and Chapters usually does... paying $40 for something that's listed at $25US is not high on my list of "things to do".

Unless you have random amounts of disposable incomes with which to support Heroes World :p

I can't believe you haven't been reading Runaways. Brian K. Vaughan is the greatest thing since sliced bread. He's an acclaimed, award-winning writer who writes great characters, and hasn't pitched a cross-over mega event. There's nothing to hate about the guy. In fact, read Y: The Last Man, too.

Although Brian. K Vaughn, on a giant crossover event would be effin fun. It'd be one of the better crossover events that's for sure. ^_^

Speaking of Cyclops, if this "visorless" angle sticks, I'd like to see it show up in other X-books b/c AXM feels really detached from continuity.

Yeah, it has like, no timeline right now in 616. It's just... there.
