Cause it sounded like I was defending/praising/pimping her guest appearance...?
Was that to me? I didn't question your pointing out that she was in there. I was only clarifying myself, mostly for myself.
Ororo101: Doesn't everyone generally believe that their way is the good way, anyway? Is not your way the good way? Are you out of line yourself, then? Or do you think your way/s is/are the bad way? And if so, why should any of us bother reading what you write, if everything you put forth is bad? We don't like bad things around here. We like good things. We like the good way. We walk the good path. Please take your badness away, if you are indeed all about the bad way. And if you are not about the bad way, and are indeed all about the good way, then don't yell at other people for also being of the good way. I like my way. My way is a good way. Darth's way is a good way. We walk the good path, much as Cyclops and Wolverine walk the good path (together, hand in hand). Please do not taint us with a bad way.
And no, you have many, many grammar problems in your other posts.
And yes, I already accepted and hugged the fact that I was wrong. It happens. Being that I've already treaded that path myself, you pointing it out and trying to cling to it really does nothing. Yes, yes, she held off the Marauders? So what? She was in all of a handful of chapters, which is to say, YES, she was a guest-star for a few issues.
And no, Jean would not be a guest-star, because it's not about being absent from the X-books. It's about the franchise. Jean has never left the X-franchise. Jean is dead, yes, but is still one of the X-Men, just as when Psylocke was dead, or when Colossus was dead, they were still considered X-Men. Wolverine is still considered an X-Men, because he's still prominant in X-books despite being in several other non-X titles (sadly). If he stopped showing up in ANY X-book and cut ties with the X-teams, and only showed up to bounce and claw around from time to time (let us not entertain the fact this would never happen), then he would be, despite being Wolverine, a guest-star in the X-books, just like Storm now is. If Beast went to star in a new ongoing about SWORD, and as a result he was no longer in the X-books on a constant basis, and was no longer an acting member of the X-teams, then Beast, despite being one of the O5, would be a guest-star in the X-books and the X-franchise. That's what it means? Is that spelled out enough?
Storm left the X-teams on an official basis to go hump Black Panther and be Queen of Wakanda and help Africa and whatever else. That makes her a guest-star until which time she rejoins the X-teams on a constant basis. If that's a result of Ellis's reign on Astonishing, then that's a result, and it happens, although I'd still say she has to show up in Uncanny (where we'll still be seeing Cyke, Emma, Wolverine, et al. on a regular basis), the flagship.
Ororo101, you know it was ALL a joke. I thought you LIKED joking? You're a regular jokester yourself!
