detective comics 874 = f***in amazing

go get it right now

gogogogogogogogogogogo

can snyder please write batman forever and ever?

Word.

On top of that, Francisco Francevilla's cover and interior art are the ****. Hell, get rid of Jock and put Francavilla on art duties full time. Screw Black Panther.

Yeah I didn't like jock's work personally, but francevilla is excellent.

Jock's Batwoman artwork was pretty neat though

Indeed it was. I like Jock's artwork alot, but DC has put me in a difficult position in giving me both Jock and Francavilla. And because I think Francavilla is incredibly underrated, I would gladly take him over Jock. That said, I'm very excited that Francavilla will be doing art for the next issue as well.

....I'm sorry to bring this up again...but i just read Birds of PRey 8 and 9....and Gail Simone writes Batman in such a backhanded manner that its starting to bother me....

"And how does that make you feel?"

Actually, I haven't been reading BoP. What exactly is so "backhanded" about it?

On one hand, she'll have huntress be in awe of him fighting alongside BC. She'll have BC admit that its good to have him back.

But then....she makes this point that this is ORACLE'S team and ORACLE'S plan, and Batman sits there and says "ok". Every suggestion Batman makes, simone has oracle shut down. One scene has Batman offer to take BC to a hospital and babs replies "she can't. She's a fugitive, remember?", which just came off as a forced attempt to "put Batman in his place"...becuse if Bats knew BC was now a fugitive, he'd realize he cant take her to a hospital.

I mean, we get that this isnt Batman's book, but Simone seems to like forcing the issue.

Do not think she wrote him in a backhanded way

Thought he was written well. He was an :awesome: fighter and a compassionate friend and ally to Oracle and Black Canary

Birds of Prey 8 and 9 were fun on a bun

brainwashed female. it's too late to save her.

i still have no idea what the story is with gordon's son, but everything about this issue was great. and i dig the art.

It has been kind of neat but not a fan of jim Jr coming back in the comic books like this

Pfft Gail Simone is fabulous and you know she is

I loves Birds of Prey with so much love

Yeah the son is really creepy. I wonder is Snyder bringing back Tiger Shark or some other villain in his run. The thugs had water themed tattoos. The art was really great and i loved the horror sequences, and it was nice seeing Dick throwing jokes and hanging out with Tim.

I think it is the Great White Shark

Or Orca

Crazy guess is crazy :awesome:

Wasn't Orca killed during One Year Later? I'm also fairly certain Bruce scared the crap out of Great White Shark and told him to quit the **** around the same time, too.

Awwww Orca is dead

That makes me :csad:

There are not enough crazy marine biologists in comic books

well what was james jr.'s story in previous comic book appearances? im assuming this disturbing personality of his isnt unprecedented?

im trying to buy the Paul Dini/Dustin Nguyen batman trades and i wanna know: besides the Hush stories, is there a reading order to their stories or could they just be read as stand-alone Batman adventures? and did Dini work with any one else during is Detective Comics run?

He worked with JH William for an issue or two and another artist for his storyline with Robin and the Joker and the subsequent arc with Don Kramer which featured a Zatanna/Batman team-up (one of the best I've read).

Most are stand-alone. They might have lingering threads to one another like the relationship between Hush and the new Scarface Peyton Riley, or the appearance of Little Italy and Mr. Zzzz from storyline to storyline but for the most part you can give them a good read without worrying about continuity.

Maybe the Resurrection of Ra's Al Ghul you can give a miss. It felt kind of forced to me.

I finished reading Battle for the Cowl and Batman and Robin Vol 1: Batman Reborn. I liked them both. I look forward to reading the rest of the run with Dick as Batman.

The second volume of Batman and Robin is really neat squirrel

did anyone read that batman conspiracy book that came out this week?

Anyone read Batman: Dead to Rights? Was thinking about getting it.
