I actually didn't read GK regularly. I picked up occasional issues, though I don't remember if they were actually Grayson's issues.

She wrote a pretty good four parter about Hugo Strange you should check that out Saint

other than Prey, have there been that many great Hugo Strange stories?

Adam Beechen is saying that Batman Beyond will be relaunched with a new #1. Although there won't be a new Batman Beyond series in September, so if it does happen, it'll probably happen in October or November.

Yeah I think it'll be around then. Simone also tweeted that September is "not the end" for first issues.

I get the feeling Batman is pretty much the worst boss ever in that comic strip

I've started reading Batwoman: Elegy and it takes me 10 minutes to go through each page. Damn you Williams and your glorious, glorious art!

This page... This freaking page man! Damn you Colonel, why are you so awesome?

He is the bestest dad ever :)

I loved that scene. I was so pleased he wasnt a dbag and he accepted his daughter. Kate's origin story was my favourite part of Batwoman: Elegy

I really hope Kate can forgive her father for lying to her about Beth in her ongoing comic

Williams art is so beautiful :hrt: I cannot wait to see his gorgeous artwork for the Batwoman ongoing series this September :hrt:

My favourite part of that book was when Kate talks about the batsignal being a call to arms, foreshadowing (probably unintentionally) Incorporated. Freaking sweet.

If there's one thing I haven't seen enough of, it's Batman and Batwoman working together. Kate is exactly the sort of person that Batman would rely on; their attitude and discipline are so similar.

That was my other favourite moment. I got goosebumps!

Agreed.

I have to ask you guys.

1) Why was she and her family kidnapped?
2) How did her sister die but then came back to become Alice? I didnt get that.
3) Why is Kane a descendant of Cain?

I really hope that Batwoman guest stars in Batman Inc again
This and when Inc is done they just need to have more team ups.

Batman, NW, Robin, BG, BW, Knight and Squire, Mr Unknown, etc... Just put their names in a lottery and pull two names each week and publish a team up story.

The book will be called "the Awesome book".

Btw this scene reminds me of B&R #16.

- Hey Bruce, how was time?
*Dick explains the situation to him*

Bruce to Damian:
- I am proud of you. You made the right choices. It is up to you to make sure that Batman gets home safe.

Damian must have been crying behind that mask. :awesome:

From what I understood when I read it:

1) Because they're rich. Rich people get kidnapped, either for political reasons or just for ransom.

2) I don't think she actually died, or if she did, I don't think they explained her resurrection, or if they did, I don't remember it.

3) Because the Crime Bible cult thinks she is. She may be or she may not--spellings of names change over millennia, after all--but the important thing is that the Crime Bible cult believes she's a descendant of Cain, so they're interested in her.

1) Ooooh! Forgot about that. She has a nice tower btw.
2) Her father says that she died, but if she didnt, why would he abandon her?
3) Makes sense.

Thanks a lot Corp!

I don't know about #2. I feel like it was explained in the series but I can't recall the details. Honestly, I never really like long-lost relative plots, so I probably tuned out during that part.

I believe it was explained, but I too cannot recall. Not all the details, mind you, but I at least recall that the Colonel had lied when he said Kate's sister was dead.

I read it again and it looks like they didnt find her so the Colonel lied to Kate so that she'd let it go. But what did they do to Beth anyway?

Beth was executed by the kidnappers. She's dead for realsies, as far as we know. Which leads to the Colonel getting remarried and Kate's current troubles with her stepmother.
