I ****ing LOVED issue 6. Stabbed? Beaten? Drugged? The Batman don't give a ****. He gets so pissed he turns into an unstoppable monster. It's perfect. These owls are terrifying but they are out of their league. Really can't wait for the next issue.

RH&tO was also fantastic. Nice to see Under The Hood still exists and I found it incredibly funny that Nightwing had an island with a hot alien he would visit to ****. Good stuff.

Is Red Hood actually good?

I've been terribly afraid to try it given how badly TT and Superboy suck. :o

Man, Red Hood has been my favorite title outside of Batman. Up there with The Shade.

Batman just kicking the Talons ass in this issue was a definite crowning moment of :awesome:

I wish that I had an island like that :atp:

That's actually not true, whereas my tastes are superb and I have been making life my ***** for some time now. Right on.

(In reality, Corp is a bitter old woman in Brooklyn who only gets spanish soap operas on her black and white TV.)

Why don't you two go grab a hotel room and let us know who comes out on top. :o

OK dude we're talking about the only guy outside of Supes who exists in the DCU with as much willpower as any of the GL's. You forget to look at it from that context. Plus the fact that an adrenaline rush could quell pain for the moment being.

It's not like Batman didn't admit defeat he conceded when he was in the river. Obviously still drugged and delirious after all though I'm sure he obviously escaped. Cause in the end it's Batman. Of course he's going to bounce back despite being pushed beyond the usual. This was a lesson for Batman. He thought he knew everything about his city; he didn't and he learned and perservered; like always.

You just made my point! LOL!
That is exactly why he should not have been the half-crazed mess that Talon snuck up on and stabbed through the kidney! His faculties should have been in tact.

Doesn't matter that he didn't concede. Should not have gotten to that point, based on what he had been through. Food and water deprivation vs a severe stab wound and beating?? The former breaks him down but not the latter?

dude...just stop. 8 days of drinking only drugged water. Yes, he would have been broken down. And he should have been broken down. He's not ****ing Superman.

You don't want to be reading Batman. You want to be reading Superman in a Batman costume.

In other words, this.

It takes a little more than two dudes going at it to satisfy me. :o

I'd need at least three. :o

I don't think you understand a little concept called tension. A Batman who can easily overcome anything even the impossible like breathing in space and surviving without food or water for over a week delivers no tension. There's no need to root or fear for Batman because without tension, you just know that he's going to overcome it with no challenge and his character remains stale and static as a result. There is no need to get emotionally involved with a story if you think that Batman can overcome everything. A Batman who cannot be challenged by normal means is boring. And you need to take into account that Batman is just a man. So he has mortal limitations as a result.

And in something like the superhero genre, tension is a necessity to keep things fresh and lively.

I completely agree!

Though Batman can totally breathe in space

I've seen it happen :o

scott snyder says joe chill is retconned

I remember he was saying he hoped for that in interviews but it's confirmed

I'm fine with that as I've always liked the idea of Bruce parents killer never being caught. It just adds to the idea of how corrupt and awful Gotham was back then and why it needed men like Bruce or Jim Gordon to help make it at least a little better

I would have preferred that Jack Nicholson killed the Waynes :o

Guess who just bought herself a copy of Batman: Fortunate Son :awesome:

It was on sale for just £1 so I had to get it after hearing about it on the Atop the Fourth Wall show

Punk is nothing but death and crime and the RAGE OF A BEAST :awesome:

I would have preferred that Jack Nicholson killed the Waynes :o

Bruce Wayne's parents being murdered by a famous actor would certainly be different :ninja:
