I would suggest Push, Street Kings and Perfect Score. But otherwise, here's a video to show his worth:

Again, someone mentioned this in the previous page, and this is the response I gave. I suppose it relates to yours as well.

This probably has been said before but here goes. I'm not overly familiar with Evan's acting ability, but by most accounts he is an able actor. However, the role of Captain American requires a person who exudes the gravitas and respect to lead men to their deaths in battle and other heroes of varying egos (Iron Man, Thor ect). Evans doesn't look to have that depth and acting talent won't give it to you. Its one of those "have it or you don't" things.

Most people mainly see Evans like this guy next door, this jokey manboy. Fans are satisfied because "hey Evans has blond hair, Steve Rogers has blond hair, perfect match!". I have not seen one person adress how Evans would make a great Cap and what he has that is close to Captain America. What makes him worthy to wear the red, white and blue?

I think Evans will do fine as Cap he is a professional actor as long as his performance doesn't take me out of the moment while I'm watching the film. He was dead on as Johnny Storm one of the only saving graces in that whole franchise ugh. I look forward to seeing the direction Johnston and Evans take cap it should be interesting.

i still say evans is going to be fine. he has done more then just the jock/goofy guy roles too. Just like folks think ryan reynolds is just a jokey actor. When he done some serious/drama roles. Also got to look at it some actors do like to stay with one type of work they are good at. Then others like to expand their acting roles and try other roles. Heck look at guys like jim carey, adam sandler and guys like them. Mostly known for their comedy work, but has also done some great serious/dramatic roles.

If you've seen Iron Man 2 and Incredible Hulk, it seems like the creative minds behind all the films are gearing Captain America to be the one "stable and problem-free mind" of the team... Tony Stark is a wreck of a person, Banner is also... so it seems like Steve Rogers will be the stable personality that can serve as a role model to lead them all.

Seriously, by the time Cap, and the Avengers will have come out, we will have had 5 different marvel franchises all tied together. This will be THE cinematic Marvel universe... F4 will seem like a distant "What if?" film by then....

Seriously, think about 5 years in the future... Marvel have already said there are going to be other movies after avengers, including maybe Dr Strange, Luke Cage, Namor etc... that will lead to roughly 10 franchises all floating around, and all crossed over and related to one another... Fox and Sony will find themselves in a tight spot, because no one will consider their films as serious parts of the marvel universe. I honestly wouldnt be surprised if somewhere down the line they make a deal with marvel to combine the franchises, especially now that Disney could help them afford it.

Thing is, if the FF reboot happens at Fox, they can never be re-integrated. I think the FF needs to join the Marvel universe shortly after Avengers. They are significant characters in the Marvel universe and they have tentpole potential, unlike Dr. Strange, Panther, and Cage. Knowing Fox, they can probably announce a reboot in summer 2012 and have it out by 2013. DD could be out next year as well with the alacrity they have shown the past couple of weeks. Spidey was always a New York guy in his own universe thingy, and X-Men is mutants that can stay by themselves as well. But I am praying that they can settle on a distribution deal with FF and even DD if that's what it takes to re-acquire them.

one of the newer photos...dont know if already posted somewhere, its made around january...

^Chris' face looks a little odd in that picture.

The difference is Jack Nicholson was memorable in a memorable movie. Nobody even remembers the Fantastic Four movies anymore. They're garbage. So Chris Evans playing another superhero has no bearing. It's like Halle Berry. She'll be known as Storm. Not Catwoman. Nobody remembers that junk.

Exactly DK88.

i would definately like if dd/ff/xmen/spidey all got back to marvel so they could become of the marvel studios movie verse. But like i said before i see gr/dd/ff more likely to get back to marvel's control over xmen or spidey getting back.

He seems to be in Reynolds-esque shape in this picture, which is fine. It was taken in January, when casting was still going on. He'll [hopefully] be bigger when shooting gets underway.

What's the preference on hair style? Lately Steve's been drawn with more a military-style crew cut, but I've always been partial to the longer hair that Kirby and artists in the 70s and 80s drew.

More than likely if this film is taking place during the 40's, he'll be rockin the crew cut. I have a feeling that once after the whole super-soldier experiment goes through, they are gonna want his overall physical appearance to reflect him being the perfect soldier

yea probably be crew cut once he joins the military and all that. And yea he was in fair shape at the start of the year, and given he has about 3 months from when he was official to late june start date he definately will be a bit bigger. its all about what type of diet he has, and work out reginment he has.

Now I'm not sure if this film is gonna chronicle him getting frozen for decades and what not. If so, then he may change his hairstyle to something more contemporary or he may leave it the same. I would rather him leave it in a crew cut if it leads to modern day just to show the difference between the military in his original time period and the military now

Speaking of hair, they didn't do it when he was Johnny Storm but I wonder if he'll be blonde as Steve Rogers.

I hope not - Chris doesn't look very good as a blonde. But either way, I want them to actually give him hair, no buzz-cut please, just something like this

yea chris has more of a dirty blonde/brown look to his hair. But i am sure this time around joe and the marvel studios guys will make him go more blonde. Heck its be just a simple dye job and wouldnt take much time.

He needs to be blond and not just highlights here and there. If you cast Johnny Storm, at least do something different as far as the looks to fit the character more closely. Get rid of the military cut and give him fuller hair to work with.

Other hairstyles that Chris Evans has adopted:

But I prefer this one, but lighter.

Yeah I wouldn't mind the part on the side as that's how I've always pictured Steve and also as long as he's blond.

I like that second pic of evans. Maybe his hair should be a tad bit lighter.

As long as he has that, I'll be happy with either color

Wouldn't mind either of those :cap::up:
