i gotta say, Seann William Scott is absolutely perfect for the role.........................of DEADPOOL.

physically, i can see why people would pick him, but his voice is all wrong.

not to mention that he's severely typecast at this point, and no one will be able to seperate him from his usually goofy persona.

as for him playing a great thief, that's really got nuthin' to do with nuthin'.

for Remy, how about actor Johnny Whitworth? he was in the Anarchist's Cookbook, Valentine, and Empire Records. i always think it's better to go with unknowns for supporting characters. this guy isn't as 'face' as Ian Somerholder imo.

Well, Boone just died on Lost, so Ian Somerhalder has a free schedule. I wish he was taller though.

He's got a weaker chin than I think the actor who plays Gambit needs.

But more importantly he's said publically said some homophobic stuff that probably wouldn't go over too well with people like McKellan (gay and activist), Alan Cumming (Bi), Rebecca Romijn (reportedly Bi), and Hugh Jackman (ultra-gay friendly).

I really wouldn't bet on him getting even an audition.

Yeah, that bottom right (if the one you're talking about is that high quality one, is I believe Ultimate universe Gambit. I made the collage a couple weeks ago but I'm pretty sure that's where I got it from.

Anyway that Whitworth guy is a pretty ok suggestion. I LOVE Empire records and AJ was a great and from what I remember greatly acted character. It's surprising he didn't become a superstar after that or atleast a big a star as Liv Tyler, Renee Zellwegger, or even Ethan Embry.

But I suppose I could say the same thing about Rory Cochrane, who played not 1 but 2 iconic 90's kickass ensemble movie characters with Lucas and Slaterman. Now he's on one of the CSI crapfests.

Ahh the curse of being friendly with show biz dirthounds. Sorry to pass this information on. I don't feel the least bit good about knowing anything about people I'll never meet but I have a pentiant for retaining useless info that friends who are into this stuff blab about. The thing about Romijn is less well known but 10 seconds of googling will confirm the thing about Jackman. He played the flamboyantly gay Peter Allen on Broadway and hosted the Tony's. That's his basic rep. Other people of course say he's gay but that just could probably be wishful thinking on gay dudes part.

Not making anything here up. I also neglected to mention the obvious of Bryan Singer who's I believe still going to produce.

well, in this particular role, he was playing a womanizer. that's what caught my attention. he does have the chin; which some people were complaining about in respect to Sean William Scott. and i don't have trouble picturing him w/ red rimmed eyes. but, seriously, i'd rather just leave it up to the casting people. surely they have an unknown already in mind. i just think this guy would be easy play-doh to shape into Gambit. and just as unknown as the original cast. i had no idea he was in Empire Records until i read his bio.

Yeah, the Leno appearance miffed me a bit, but on the episode of Crossing Jordan (they aired the one elevator scene on Leno), he convinced me. Both of them could pull it off, they have the same smile which is a huge thing about Gambit, for me. He has to have a killer smile. Although Jerry is more "built" physically than Charlie. And dating Rebecca Romijn... that's gotta count for something.
