Actually, Jim Lee's Gambit is one of the most rugged depictions of the character. Gambit didn't start getting "pretty" until around the time Joe Mad brought his pseudo-manga art style to the X-men.

Yes i have seen him act and i still don't think he'd make a good Gambit. Although Jim Lee did say he wasn't supposed to be a pretty boy, he was the one that began make him prettier. Since then Gambit has clearly been portrayed as a handsome, attractive man in any comic. However Gambit is not a typical clean cut pretty boy. I'd like to see a good looking guy play Gambit with a 5 'o clock shade, hair scruffy and his clothes black and dirty.

You obviously have not seen Band of Brothers! Shane has 5 o'clock shawdow the whole damn series, speaks a perfect french-cajin accent, has extremly similar hair, and wears a dirty ass army uniform!

He was rugged and scruffy but he certainly wasn't ugly. Jim Lee himself said that he began to draw him prettier than he initially planned. His Gambit was the best though. Followed by Joe Mad.

Not sure if Kitsch can also be the Gambit of X4. The Wolverine spin-off takes place 15 years or so in the past, X4 will have to be a few years since X3 by the time they ever get round to doing it. So the same actor couldn't play a part in two movies 20 years apart.

I know how you feel, I hate that Fox is abble to use him in the Wolverine "He is God" movie before in a x-men one, specially when X4 can be made perfectly, in two or three years.

The film can be made in two or three years... it just depends of the studio.

We'll see next year if they start planning it or not, or some kinf of announcement, or news about the future of the franchise.

After getting screwed over not once, not twice but three times I'll seriously take ANYTHING I can get at this point. It's not like Gambit has EVER got a fair treatment in anything. Even comics.

Look at it this way, at least his first appearance will not be conected to Rogue in any way. Yes it's Wolverine's movie, but his relationship with Rogue has done far more damage to Gambit than his relationship with Wolverine.

Regarding the casting choice. He's cute I guess.
