Ethan Hawke is a great actor, but I never really invisioned him playing a superhero. He would be an excellent choice for a character like Maxwell Lord though.

I think Chris Pine would make a great GA.

I really don't think Ollie for the first movie should be the almost (or possibly older) 40yr old we've gotten used to. Better to have, I think, somone late 20's who is 'aged' by being on the island for four years either in his mid 20's (if the movie went origin leading into mainland plot) or early 20's (if the movie went established hero and the main villain is a blast from the past that causes Ollie to remember how he came to be, resulting in cuts between past and present)

I actually agree that Pine would make a great Ollie Queen. It's weird how so many actors are inter changeable for super hero roles.

I think Ollie should be younger than we have gotten used to for movies sake. Early 30's would be ideal I think.

I just don't see Pine as Ollie. I think there's too much "Pine for everything!" going on on the casting boards. So far he's Cap, Hawkeye, Hal Jordan, and now Ollie. The man is not that versatile an actor, and to say he looks like all these characters suggests he has a very average, nothing special about him kind of look.

I just don't see Pine as Ollie. I think there's too much "Pine for everything!" going on on the casting boards. So far he's Cap, Hawkeye, Hal Jordan, and now Ollie. The man is not that versatile an actor, and to say he looks like all these characters suggests he has a very average, nothing special about him kind of look.

Well, Jim Lee and Ed Benes draw all those characters like they're the same one.

Green Arrow is just one of those characters that should be cast older

Again - not older if its the first movie, and certainly not if its a partial to total origin story. You wanna see a 35yr old partying with 22yr old college girls like a letch before getting stranded on the island for another 5yrs then coming back and starting out as a hero at 40? Given his pre-island lifestyle he wouldnt be in good enough shape before he got stranded for his body to be able to take the punishment of intensive training and alley leaping if he only started pushing himself to the limits at 40.

Cooper might well work. Would need to see the guy with some kinda facial hair though

This role is a MUCH better fit for Bradley Cooper than Hal.

Cooper could outdo RDJ in *****bagness for Oliver Queen; it's perfect.


Fassbender is better saved for a more serious DC character; like Lex.

Again- I dont care about the origin. I want to see Green Arrow the way he works best, which IMO is older.

Yea but it doesnt hurt if we have origin included in some way. You know they would have to do it, for the audience to wonder how this guy come about and why he does what he does.
