Maybe that Utlimate Spider-Man game had him, but I dunno
Yeah he was in ti. Took awhile to beat the first time I played it, but it got easier the second tim e I played it. Good game IMO

Suffice to say, I'd like to see the actual Goblin, Norman Osborn, in more Spider-Man videogame offerings, especially with the quality of games in graphics and storytelling and VA's like constantly going up--I want to see Norman get in on the action.

I think, with the new graphics and such that we have for Video Games, Goblin would look and be amazing if they'd give him a chance. But, in a sense, I'm waiting for them to make a Spectacular Spider-Man game with him in it, knowing the world and how it likes to milk something popular for as much money as they want.

Oh, a video game for the Spectular Spider-Man Animated series would be AWESOME! (And it'd be interesting if they try to go with the relatively quirky look of the show, if they do something in the artistic style of Legend of Zelda's Windwaker, which was a real interesting blend of cell-shading and cartoon art--it really was like playing a cartoon at times.)

Ugh, don't mention Windwaker. Thats my least favorite game of Zelda, and i hate it so much. Now Twilight Princess, thats a good zelda game. But I digress, back to Goblin

LOL, sorry about that. Twilight was excellent though, I really loved Midna.

It would've been really cool, in one of that one 90's Spider-Man game, with Stan Lee actually narrating some scenes and the final boss was a Symbiote Doc Ock and Spidey teamed up with Venom for a bit...if in that, Norman had been more than a passing reference, if he'd actually been in that game.

ETA:

Since Norman is the Goblin:

Great compilation! Also, awesome use of that one scene for the very end.

It would have been cool if in the sequel, as well.

So there was a sequel?

I just looked it up on wikipedia--they don't seem to give the exact name to the PS-1 comics-centric game, but I'm guessing that's the one they're talking about when they say that the 'Enter Electro' game was its sequel.

And while at wiki, found this:

Weapons as the Iron Patriot
Due to the events of the "Dark Reign" Osborn has created the new identity of the Iron Patriot (an apparent amalgam of Captain America and Iron Man) to cement his standing as a hero. He now utilizes (aside from his organic abilities) a version of Iron Man's Extremis Armor (with a different color scheme). The armor grants superhuman strength, enhanced durability (via a pliable crystalline material with a molecular structure that can collimate into super-hard planes upon the application of an electrical field), a "repulsor flight system", magnetic repulsor blasts, heat seeking missiles, miniaturized lasers, flamethrowers and a communications system housed in his helmet which allows interface with any U.S. controlled satellite or computer network.

So, "Iron Patriot..." I really have no idea what to feel about this. No opinion whatsoever. A 'WTF,' sure, but just surprise, there's nothing negative or positive about that. I do find it as a combo of Iron Man and Captain America interesting though. (And does add another level to Tony vs. Norman rivalry.)

^^^
Yea it was Spider-Man 2: Enter Electro

Best Spidey/Goblin game. Ever.

Nah, I'm not a gamer. I have no idea. :o

I cant remember the last Spidey game I played or when, but I do think its cool that they put all of the Spidey movie villains together in one game.

Too bad the game sucked and was too kid friendly.

Still, I want to try Friend or Foe sometime. It remains like the one sorta-canon opportunity meeting one of my crazy fantasies.

Anyway, back to something more Goblin-centric: on Spectacular Animated again, I really enjoy how with their retelling, they were able to give Norman an even bigger role in the Spider-'verse, and it came off as natural. Responsible for Vulture, Sandman, Rhino, Dr.Octopus, and Molten Man? Awesome. And what gets me, makes it even cooler, is that Peter doesn't realize the extent Norman's already messed with his life, and obviously others'...

I was thinking about Willem Dafoe today. Man, he was so awesome playing the Goblin. Though, I wish they could have given him a better costume. It was pretty rubbish to be honest. But anyway, he was gold in his role. Both him and Molina did a wonderful job playing my favorite villains of all time. They couldn't have picked any better actors to play Gobby and Ock.

I have nothing against Willem Dafoe but I didnt think much of his performance. Again, its not him, I just thought Gobby was written in a corny way. He needed to give off a Doctor Octopus level sense of menace.

I liked the game.
It was a fine break from the free-roams games. We could play as different characters, such as the Big Three and I was able to play with my sister. I had a lot of fun.
It was a necessary and well received break from the free-roam, for me.

I didn't care much for the costume aswell... I believe that honestly, Goblin is supposed to look stupid. It's his actions that make him scary. I mean they don't have to DIRECTLY adapt the costume, Even Spider-Man's costume wasn't directly adapted...Sandman's was though. It's been a while since I've seen the first 2 films, but I wonder if the film would have been better had they not shown us Norman's transformation into the Green Goblin, rather had him show up out of nowhere and then become unmasked at the end.

Oh and as for Ock...I hated the "evil AI tenticles" thing...Molina played a good ock, but trying to make every villain sympathetic may ruin the characters a bit...

Fun with the Spectacular Green Goblin. :gg:

The song is even ok. I like the part about "no use for apologies." Fitting, as they have made it a point to say that Norman never apologizes.

I think this video got over looked before. I'm liking it more and more. Brutal and personal, just as a Spider/Goblin fight should be.

VIDEO-CLick to Watch!:
Wow, that was great! *favorites*.

Man, I just love the sequence right after 2:43, where Gobby is dragging Spidey along the skyscrapers windows, hurling bombs at him as Spidey is running for his life. Ah, wholesale destruction caused by a personal grudge. It must be terrifying/confusing to the average citizen. They know that Electro or Sandman are crooks, so they understand the cause for the destruction after a hero/villain brawl. But with Gobby, its a total surprise. Who knows why these two are at each other's throats? They come out of nowhere and next thing you know, a city block is in ruins.

Must be tough for Peter, too. You can just hear him screaming, "Dammit Norman! If you have a problem with me, take it up with me! Why do you have to run rampant through the city?!"

^^ Oh, absoloutely. That's one of the MANY great things about the Spider-Man VS. Green Goblin rivalry in this show.

Ugh, there's this idiot over at the Spider-Man 2 board on IMDb that keeps insisting that Venom is Spider-Man's arch enemy. I try to explain to him why Green Goblin is and not Venom but nope, the idiot keeps saying "Venom". I asked him to explain why he insists that Venom is his arch enemy but nope, he just goes "Venom :-)". I really hate that moron. The sad thing is... I think he is serious. :wow:

Some people just cant be reasoned with, STB. Best to let the poor, delusional fools have their delusions....and then pumpkin bomb them when they least expect it. :yay:

Yep. I gave up now.

BTW, I wish we could get a Spider-Man game based on the Gobby sometimes. I'm sick of all these symbiote games. There's too many of them. A Spider-Man game with The Green Goblin as the main focus would rock so much! And of course, other classic villains could be in it like Vulture, Doc Ock, Sandman and Electro.

Ultra cool find, Joker. Many thanks. I would love to see this history published in comic form: the Epic of the Osborns. Looking forward to American Son even more now.
