I miss DeMatteis, period. He was great with whichever artist he was paired with. He was far and away my favorite Spider-Writer. Look, even if they kept the BND status quo and brought back JMD, I would be back like that.

I didnt like Buscema at first but he grew on me. His art became really ugly at the beginning of the Clone Saga. It got all dark and hard to see. Whoever did the inking went way overboard. There was a huge difference between pre and post Clone Saga Buscema.

Now, DeMatties and Bagley. There was dynamite. I have a fondness for DeMatties and Luke Ross but Bagley will forever be the true partner for JMD in my mind.

I noticed that too. Well, I noticed it when I read one of them. I never read the Clone Sage. Don't really want too from what I've heard.

If your uncle has it then please do yourself a favor and ask to read the rest of his DeMatteis/Buscema Spidey run. They did some of the best Spidey comics of all time and if your a fan of Spidey, you won't regret it.

Thats true, dont just skip right to Spect 200. The Harry/Peter feud was building up for some time and there were a lot of great stories along the way that make the conclusion all the more tragic. Especially look for The Child Within.
