Yeah thats true.

I dont mind though, i'd rather him not be cast as GL.

Common is a much better choice imo and i think John Stewart should be one of the older superheroes as it seems they're casting kids for the other roles.

Not only did he not say he read the script, there's no indication that 'popcorn' is his word.

Short would've kicked tail, but then again, so will Common. They're both pretty danged good, but I would give the edge to short, especially after watching the switch from Studio 60 to Stomp the Yard.

Also, MJW is an incredible martial artist, but he's always been an 'okay' actor, and has yet to give me even one memorable movie moment. I don't know why people keep picking him, when there are dozens of more capable actors out there. Kinda the same with Henry Simmons, though I haven't seen as much of him, what I've seen of him is like: Why is this guy good for John?

I don`t jnow whether this affects anyone`s casting choices but...
Hal Jordan was based off of Paul Newman.

Sinestro was based off of David Niven.

So perhaps with those two characters it might work to imagine trying to cast someone as Paul Newman or David Niven instead as a comic or anime character can usually look like anyone you suggest should be casted as them.


(The pics aren`t perfect to show the similarities but they were the best i could find at the mo.)
