Watching True Blood right now; what about Nelsan Ellis as John Stewart?:

I would really love if Nathan Fillion got the role, he's definitely my top choice for hal. But if WB decided to go younger, I could see picking this guy:

Because he looks like a younger Nathan Fillion, with a mix of Aaron Eckhart. His name is Nikolaj Coster-Waldau..
thats an amazing name :woot:

he looks good as Hal, i'm a little concerned about his age though. Fillion is getting a little long in the tooth, and this guy is even older than him.

Its ok he's immortal or at least until he finds his true love

I would like to see boreanaz as Hal, he did pretty good in justice league: the new frontier as the voice.

Hes stepped it up in Bones. Hes a much more impressive as an actor. I wouldnt mind so much if he got the role.

No, no david buffy boy for GL:cmad:

Sam Worthington has grown on me as a possible choice for Hal Jordan. All he has to is lose the Australian accent and grow out his hair a little bit.

As for Daniel Day Lewis, I wouldn't mind him, but his voice would need to be a bit tweaked in my opinion.
Damn, he does look a lot like Nathan Fillion. He certainly meets the visual requirements of Hal, but I haven't seen his acting so I can't comment on that.

This is just a coincidence, but notable. The last name of Leo DiCaprio's character in the upcoming "Body of Lies" is Ferris, an important name in the GL context. Furthermore, "Lies" is produced by Donald DeLine, the guy set to manage the GL flick. Don't see Leo as Hal, though.

Wow, you're right. He looks younger, and when I checked this one site it said he was, but according to imdb he's a year older, that's kinda weird.

As for him acting, here's a bit of him from a show, not too bad, the voice would work fine for Hal I think:

I hope her gets it as well. he's expressed interest in the live action version

Personally, in terms of attitude and looks, I think Boreanaz fits Guy Gardner better than hal.

I have to agree with you there. Boreanez can really play any one of the Earth Lanterns (well, except for Stewart:oldrazz:) but if I had to choose a character for him to play it would be Guy Gardner.

Though I was one of the few people that liked the Jack Black as a Green Lantern idea (just TRY to tell me that that guy can't play Guy Gardner if he got into shape). I mean a movie starring Jack Black as Guy making an ass of himself while Kyle, Hal, and John cameo to make him look even MORE foolish? I think that'd be a riot.

He'd be hilarious as Kilowog. Hearing him say poozer would make my movie-going experience.

I'd be all for Jack Black as Guy Gardner in a Super Buddies movie. Owen Wilson as Booster Gold, Ben Stiller as Blue Beetle, Will Ferrel as Elongated Man. It'd be brilliant.

Michael Clarke Duncan should voice Kilowog

Hell he could probably play him as it with some prosthetics and CGI touch ups

Sounds like a chick flick premise from the 80's.

Yeah but in the mean time he solves crimes, so it's cool. Also, each episode flashes back to some point in the past 400 years the character has been alive, to a situation which conveniently relates to the case he's solving that episode. It's not a terrible show, but it's nothing extraordinary.

I will be honest with you guys. If your're going to go solo with a Hal Jordan origin, the film will need an actor who has proven they could carry a movie by himself. Boreanaz or Fillon can't do that (they never have).

Dennis Quaid

James Caviezel

I would go with somebody like Dennis Quaid or James Caviezel for that reason. I doubt that the film would get the green light if it didn't.
